Grant and Juliana on The Bachelor 2025
ABC.

Warning: The Bachelor Season 29 spoilers ahead. She was a dark horse compared to his other relationships, but are Grant and Juliana still together from The Bachelor Season 29? Bachelor Nation is convinced their relationship is doomed from the start.

Juliana Pasquarosa, a 28-year-old Client Service Associate from Newton, Massachusetts, was one of 25 contestants on The Bachelor Season 29 with Grant Ellis. Juliana was the winner of Grant’s Bachelor season, according to Reality Steve. Per the site, Grant gave his final rose to Juliana and proposed to her at the Final Rose Ceremony in The Bachelor Season 29 finale, and the two got engaged. Litia Garr, a 31-year-old Venture Capitalist from Star Valley, Wyoming, was Grant’s runner-up.

Grant’s ending may come as a surprise to some Bachelor Nation fans who saw Litia as the better match for him. “In comparison to everyone else, I feel like the conversation, substance, the depth of it, it goes beyond surface level, and that is what I’m looking for as a viewer watching this,” Season 20 Bachelorette Charity Lawson said in an interview on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast in March 2025. “Like, ‘OK, how can I distinguish between who potentially is going to possibly be or become the fiancé, the wife later down the road?’ I feel like their conversations of what is shown at least is telling us like, ‘OK, this is like solid material, like this is a strong relationship.’”

But what happened in the real world? Are Grant and Juliana still together from The Bachelor Season 29 or has her final rose wilted after filming? See what we know about what happened once cameras went down.

Are Grant and Juliana still together from The Bachelor Season 29?

Grant and Juliana on The Bachelor 2025

Yes, Grant and Juliana are still together, as of writing. The couple confirmed their relationship status in an interview with People after The Bachelor Season 29 finale in which Grant revealed that he plans on moving to Boston, Massachusetts, where Juliana lives, now that they’re engaged.

“I love the dynamic that her town has and that her family has, and I want to be close to that,” he said. “I’m going to have my house in Houston, but I’m also going to come over there and we’re going to make it work.”

Juliana also told the magazine that she and Grant planned to “peek at” apartments together and see what matched their “vibe.” “I can’t wait to go back to Olivia’s Bistro, eat some mushroom tagliatelle, have some red wine and just have a normal dinner,” Juliana said of her favorite restaurant in Boston. “I think that that has been something since day one of even starting this process, and knowing what comes after if it is you, I just can’t wait to live a normal life with you.”

The couple also confirmed that there was “no rush” for them to get married. “I just feel like we want to live life together for a minute,” Juliana said said. “A wedding is a big thing, and there’s so many people we have to meet. I want them all to have an opportunity to see [Grant], see us, and just have it make sense to everybody.”

Grant added, “We’re going to live it up. There’s going to be wine, there’s going to be family, and it’s going to be a celebration of life. When the time is right, we’re going to handle it and we’re going to talk about it, and we’re going to have a really fun wedding.”

Grant and Juliana on The Bachelor 2025

While Grant and Juliana are still together, as of writing, fans speculated before The Bachelor Season 29 finale that Grant and Juliana had broken up based on his behavior at the “Women Tell All” special. “Grant did NOT look happy,” a user wrote on Reddit after the episode. “I don’t know that I’d consider this a spoiler because I am not spoiled on the ending but I have to say, Grant did not look happy at the WTA when Jesse was talking about the ending of the season/Grant’s ‘journey”‘ Y’all think he has a good poker face or that his pick and him have already ended things?”

Another user commented, “Omg, he looked miserable! Either he was purposefully trying to look miserable and I can’t imagine why or he really was. And he didn’t look healthy either, dark circles under the eyes, washed out. Makes me actually not want to watch how it turns out if it is really going to be heartbreaking.”

One more user wrote, “I think Grant is not happy that they are editing it to make it look like he was more torn than he was. He was interviewed recently and he said it wasn’t like that. I think he was more worried about breaking the heart of the one he was not selecting.”

The main theory was that Grant and Juliana broke up after The Bachelor Season 29 trailer suggested that Grant didn’t know he was going to choose as his winner until the last second, which host Jesse Palmer also seemed to confirm in an interview with Us Weekly in January 2025. “It’s real,” Jesse said at the time of Grant’s moment of indecision seen in The Bachelor Season 29 promo. “And I don’t know if you could tell from watching that from my reaction, [but] I was surprised. That was something that I haven’t encountered yet as the host in the last four years on any of the franchises. Normally, I think, our leads have a little bit more clarity — a lot more clarity — heading into the final day. And I really think that’s how conflicted Grant really was.”

He continued, “They’re phenomenal every year for whoever our lead is [and] making that decision on the final day is always a very, very difficult decision, but I can appreciate some of why Grant was so conflicted. I’ll just say that. But absolutely without giving away too much, that was authentic and it’s real and it’s not an edit.”

Grant, for his part, seemed to hint at his frustration with the way his finale was being portrayed in his own interview with Us Weekly in March 2025 in which he claimed that he knew who his winner would be by Hometown Dates. “I, honestly, was 100 percent sure because that’s what I came there for. I knew I was going to make things work,” Grant said. “[It] definitely wasn’t [down to] one hour,” he said, explaining that the moment of indecision seen in the trailer was due to “external factors” and not necessarily wavering feelings for his winner. “I’ve always been a really decisive person in terms of my career and everything in that field. … In high school, I was a star athlete and had to decide what college I went to, what major,” he said.

After Grant’s interview, there was a popular fan theory that Grant wanted to choose Litia, who is Mormon, but decided against it due to their differences in religion and culture. “It’s clear he really like Litia but the Mormon/religion thing is stopping him from going all in. We’ll see how it plays out,” a user wrote on Reddit. Fans also speculate that the narrative that Grant was so close to choosing Litia may have affected his current relationship with Juliana.

It’s not uncommon for Bachelor or Bachelorette winners to feel hurt after learning how close a lead’s decision was between them and someone else. In an interview with People in 2017, Lauren Bushnell, who won The Bachelor Season 20 with Ben Higgins, opened up about the “hurt” she felt watching the finale and seeing her now-ex-fiance Ben profess his love for his runner-up before Lauren and Ben’s engagement. “I don’t think I’ve ever talked about how hurtful that was,” Lauren said. “I always try to be really strong because I wanted to move forward from it. But because I wanted to move forward from it, I don’t think I ever really opened up about how hard that was just in terms of, like, I wanted to make that decision to get engaged one time in my life and I felt like I wasn’t told everything that had happened.”

Lauren also confessed that what happened in the finale continued to affect her and Ben’s relationship for months to come. The two later split in May 2017. “When The Bachelor aired, reliving that months later wasn’t ideal either,” she said. “I was still like, ‘We’re going to move forward from this,’ but then the press, that’s what everybody wanted to talk about. I’ve never shared with anyone, except for Ben, how hurtful that situation was and how hard it is to continually talk about it over and over again when you’re trying to start a life with someone.”

She continued, “Looking back, I wish I could be like, ‘That’s why it didn’t work out,’ but I think it was just a very abnormal situation and one that unfortunately. I mean we tried.”

The Bachelor streams on Hulu.
