They’ve been the name on everyone’s lips this season, but are Jonathan and Ana still together from The Amazing Race 37? She’s had some not-so-nice words to producers for how they’ve been portrayed this season.

Ana seemed to confirm that she and Jonathan were still together in an Instagram post in March 2025, responding to criticism of her and Jonathan’s relationship from the first two episodes. “Hold on to your butts… get ready for a wild adventure! We wear our passion on our sleeves, never shying away from letting you know how we feel. We make no apologies for being passionate people,” she captioned a series of photos of them together.
Ana, who disabled comments on her Instagram, also acknowledged that she and Jonathan are aware that their “dysfunctional” relationship may “frustrate” or “infuriate” viewers. “We described ourselves to our casting producer as ‘functionally dysfunctional’, and it’s true,” she continued. “We’re two complicated people in a complicated relationship, but our commitment to each other, to our children and to our future is never in question.❤️🔥 We don’t fit neatly into any box, and we like it that way.😉 Some days you’ll love us, some days you’ll hate us. We will excite you, frustrate you and sometimes we may even infuriate you.”
She concluded her post by also confessing that she and Jonathan aren’t “perfectly compatible,” but choose each other anyways. “We will often fall short of being a perfect couple, but we’ve learned over the years that you don’t have to be perfectly compatible with the person you’re with, you just need two people willing to make it work. After 15 eventful years together, we’ve demonstrated this. It is this same will, determination and grit that we bring to the race.💥👊🏽 So strap in and enjoy the roller coaster. Love, Jonathan and Ana.”
Since their debut on The Amazing Race Season 37, Ana has also shared several more posts of her and Jonathan (who doesn’t seem to have an Instagram), seemingly confirming that they’re still going strong post-show.
Ana also seemed to accuse The Amazing Race of editing her and Jonathan’s relationship in a negative light in a since-deleted screenshot on her Instagram Stories of a fan claiming that they heard Ana and Jonathan received a bad edit. “My friend was on Amazing Race and told me that she and her husband fought the entire time and they edited out 100 percent of it. She was SO happy lol,” the comment read.
The caption over the screenshot read, “FYI, we have heard this from COUNTLESS racers that have been on the show in the past.” In her own comment on the post, Ana accused The Amazing Race of only choosing to show the negative moments of her and Jonathan’s time on the show. “Very interested to see what they CHOOSE to show tonight,” she wrote.
Ana’s post came after criticism toward Jonathan week to week for his behavior toward Ana, including when he told her to “stop whining” and blamed her for losing their lead. The backlash reached an all-time high in the May 7 episode of The Amazing Race when Jonathan called Ana a “terrible partner” after she called him out for how he was mean toward her.
“I know I’ve said it before, but I think it’s more than fitting to say it again, Jonathan’s an a–hole. The way Ana tolerates his disrespect is absolutely astounding. I REALLY hope they get eliminated because Jonathan [is] insufferable,” a fan wrote on X. Another viewer tweeted, “Jonathan is terrible to Ana on this show, full stop. That’s it. No debate. It is incredibly uncomfortable to watch.” One more user wrote, “Jonathan is the most arrogant, obnoxious person I can ever remember seeing on #TheAmazingRace. He blames everyone else for his mistakes. I really like Ana and she’s doing a great job, but I want them eliminated.”
Ana and Jonathan also previously addressed the criticism toward Jonathan in a video on their YouTube channel on April 8, in which they revealed that Jonathan had sought professional help after seeing his behavior on TV and has since been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
“Looking back at what I was seeing, and knowing what I know about myself now, it’s so hard for me to be supportive and helpful to somebody when my brain is in this overheated state,” Jonathan said in the video, adding that his “hyperactive brain” was triggered by The Amazing Race.
He continued, “When I’m on The Race, unlike when I’m at home, I cannot control the external factors. I have no control – my routines are completely non-existent. And we rely on – people like me rely on routines in order to help us regulate our emotions and to control the amount of stimulus that we can get at any given time.”
Ana, for her part, added that Jonathan “had been talking about going on The Amazing Race for so many years” that she knew going home early would give him “so many regrets.” She continued, “Especially now knowing it’s an actual disorder, it didn’t stop you from doing well in the race. It didn’t stop you from succeeding in the race. I mean, we proved that in, you know, the legs coming up. … But we just didn’t know how hard it was going to be.”
