Move aside, Bolo. The Real Housewives of Atlanta has a new mystery, and it has to do with Angela Oakley’s age. Angela is one of four new cast members to join The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16, along with Britt Eady, Shamea Morton, and Kelli Ferrel.
The four join returning cast members Porsha Williams, Drew Sidora, Phaedra Parks, and Kenya Moore, who exited the series early into Season 16 over an incident with Brit. While Angela has had more than enough drama on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 over rumors her husband NBA legend Charles Oakley fathered a baby with another woman, her fellow housewives have also come for her about how old she really is. So what is Angela Oakley’s age? Well, she set the record straight but not everyone is believing her.
What’s Angela Oakley’s age?
At the time of writing, Angela is 43 years old, according to an Instagram Story she posted in April 2025 revealing her age. “Can someone point me to where I said I was 60 y.o,” she wrote over a video of her sipping a tea. “I’m 43 to be exact!”

According to Angela’s LinkedIn, she graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance 2004. If Angela was telling the truth about her age, that means that she would’ve been around 22 years when she graduated from college, which is the most common age most people graduate from college, according to Learn.org.
A user on Reddit, who claimed to have known Angela from school, supported her claim that she’s 43 years old. “I went to school with her! 43 is accurate,” the user wrote. Still, not everyone is convinced is the she says she is.
“Ain’t no way she’s 43! I’m older than her and she looks older than me! lol!” a Reddit user wrote. Another commented, “A lying 43.” One more user wrote, “She’s in her early to mid fifties. That’s not 40 nothing chile.” Other compared Angela’s age to her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star, Porsha Williams, who is also 43. “There’s no way her and Porsha are the same age …” a user wrote, to which another commenter responded, “Right she looks closer to Mama Diane’s age lmao she has to be 55 or over.”

Another of Angela’s Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars, Shamea Morton, also doubted Angela’s age given her many comments on the show about experiencing hot flashes and carrying a mini fan to cool her down. “Didn’t she say in her confessional she’s almost 60?” Shamea asked host Andy Cohen on an episode of Watch What Happens Live in May 2025. “No,” Andy responds, to which Shamea replied, “Oh, she said, ‘I’m almost 6 feet.’ Same thing!”
Shamea continued, “Those hot flashes are not 43. Cut it out, girl. But you still cute.” When Andy pressed Shamea to give an answer to how old Angela is, Shamea clarified that she thinks Angela is “almost 60.”
Angela’s daughter, Ahmauri, was 24 years old at the time The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 premiered. If Angela was telling the truth about her age, that meant she was only 19 years old when she had her child. Angela’s husband, NBA legend Charles Oakley, for his part, is 61 years old. The two married in 2016 and celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary with a vow renewal on Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
