She vowed to quit MomTok if Taylor remained a part of the group, but did Demi Engemann leave The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? Who she follows (and doesn’t follow) on Instagram tells a lot about where she stands with the group.
Demi seemed to quit The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives in the Season 2 finale when she left a group meeting at castmate Jessi Ngatikaura’s house when confronted with her claim that she would leave MomTok if fellow member Taylor Frankie Paul remained a part of the group. “As of now, I’m not feeling comfortable and I’m feeling very conflicted, so I’m gonna take some time if you guys don’t mind and decide if I want to continue in MomTok,” Demi said as she left the meeting.

She continued in a confessional interview, “I’m wiping my hands clean. I’m done with MomTok. I can’t do it anymore.”
So did Demi leave The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? It doesn’t seem so. While Demi wasn’t featured in the preview for the second part of Season 2—which mainly revolved around rumors that Jessi cheated on her husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, with Vanderpump Villa star Marciano Brunette—Demi was spoken about, as Jessi and Jordan seemed to hint that Demi was the one behind the rumors of Jessi’s infidelity. Demi still has The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives in her Instagram biography, which hints that she’s still a part of the show at least until the end of Season 2.

While Demi may still be a part of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, she might be out of MomTok. As of writing, Demi only follows four cast members on the show: Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, and Miranda McWhorter. That means that she’s unfollowed Taylor, Jessi, Jen Affleck, and Layla Taylor since filming ended on Season 2.
Demi’s issues with the women seem to be due to their response to rumors that she also cheated on her husband, Bret Engemann, with Marciano while filming Vanderpump Villa Season 2. While Marciano denied that anything physical happened between him and Demi in the Season 2 finale, he did accuse her of being flirty with him during filming.

“A lot of the women [on my show] and now Marciano jump on the train of taking things out of context. To me, it’s completely a clout tactic in my mind of trying to ride the clout and ride the wave of the success of the show and confuse people. To me, it’s manipulative and I don’t roll that way,” Demi told Us Weekly in May 2025. “You’ll see that I’ve said very little about anything that happens behind closed doors or behind the scenes or that would give anything away or conflict with the girls.”
She also denied Marciano’s claim that she was flirty with him. “I acted the same way toward him that I did everyone else. So that’s just my personality and I’ll never diminish that for anyone. I’m proud of the way that I conducted myself and for staying true to myself,” she said. “I am equally as proud for the way that I’ve handled it post-filming as well. [Bret and I though] will always communicate our way through any hurdle.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives streams on Hulu.
