Love Island USA Season 7 Cast

A new bombshell entered the villa in Love Island USA Season 7, Episode 3, but it wasn’t the new islander viewers expected.

Halfway through the episode, fans noticed what looked like an IUD on the floor of the villa as contestants—Ace Greene, Austin Shepard, Isabelle-Anne “Belle-A” Walker, Charlie Georgiou, Chelley Bissainthe, Cierra Ortega, Huda Mustafa, Jeremiah Brown, Nicolas “Nic” Vansteenberghe, Olandria Carthen, and Taylor Williams—headed to play a game.

“I pray this person noticed this little thing fell out before they try to get freaky,” a user wrote on X with a screenshot of the IUD-shaped object. Another wrote, “HELP WHOS IUD FELL ON THE GROUND OMG.”

Why was there an IUD on Love Island USA Season 7?

Host Ariana Madix confirmed in a comment to a fan on TikTok that the object was not, in fact, an IUD—also known as an intrauterine contraceptive device that’s inserted into the uterus to prevent pregnancy—but a flower in Fiji that made its way onto the floor of the villa. “Imao it’s from the flowers but this is cracking me up,” Ariana wrote.

Fans also backed Ariana’s explanation by claiming that the same flowers appeared on Love Island USA Season 6. “It’s not an IUD😅, I think it’s part of the flowers, this was posted last year,” a user wrote.

While the object was not an IUD, the Love Island franchise does have a history of editing mistakes. In 2023, Love Island UK came under fire after a Season 9 commercial leaked that contestants Will Young and Jessie Wynter had been dumped from the show before their elimination aired. The mistake came as news broke that Love Island UK Season 9 had just half the viewers it did in 2019, which averaged around 2.8 million viewers per episode.

“I definitely think that this has been the most blunder-filled series yet,” PR expert Jack Cooper told The Sun. “Every mistake has been picked up on and fairly obvious, although I am unsure why the mistakes are being made.” A poll by The Sun also reported that 80 percent of fans thought Love Island UK was “too staged” and “no longer like reality TV.”

The commercial mistake also came after a series of glitches in the premiere episode of Love Island UK Season 9. “Did everyone’s (sic) else’s telly just glitch or was it just mine?” a user wrote on X at the time. Another user tweeted, “glitch had me STRESSED.” One more wrote, “Trying to get through this episode when there’s a glitch every 2 seconds.” Another joked, “Glad this is a nationwide problem, thought the glitch was just a consequence of me getting a telly from an auction.”

In an interview with StyleCaster in 2025, Leah Kateb, a contestant on Love Island USA Season 6, discussed the psychological effects working with producers on the show had on her once she left. “I felt like any slight comment [after Love Island] was someone trying to prod the bear,” she said. “Even on the island, I didn’t want to fight. I don’t like arguing with people. I don’t enjoy drama. Drama enjoys me.”

She continued, “You’re irritable because there are producers on the ground and they say and do things to make you irritable, so you can have the viral moments. Now that I’ve come out, I realize a lot of those weird situations they put me through were because they got their best moments when I was irritated, upset, or agitated. I get it. No one wants to watch a TV show of happiness and peace. They want drama. But at the same time, I’m like, ‘Damn, how much do you want out of me?’”

While Leah previously stated that she wouldn’t return to the Love Island franchise, she told StyleCaster at the time that her stance has changed. Leah is also a part of the cast for Peacock’s upcoming Love Island spinoff, Love Island: Beyond the Villa. “Previously, I was like, ‘I would not go back for anything,’” she said. “But then, when I’m thinking about it, I’m like, ‘Well, I’m not going to be the one in the fucking challenges.’ I just have someone in my ear telling me what the hell to say, which I would much prefer.”

She added, “Every day I get messages where they’re like, ‘We need you back on our TV screens.’ You will not see Leah looking for love ever again on television. But rest assured, I will be back on TV one way or another.”

Love Island USA streams on Peacock.
