Nicolas “Nic” Vansteenberghe is one of the original 10 members on Love Island USA Season 7. A 24-year-old registered nurse and a model on the side, he entered the villa with Ace Greene, Austin Shepard, Isabelle-Anne “Belle-A” Walker, Charlie Georgiou, Chelley Bissainthe, Cierra Ortega, Huda Mustafa, Jeremiah Brown, Olandria Carthen, and Taylor Williams. The heat is already on with these islanders and Nic is just one of the main plot points causing some drama.

On Huda and Jeremiah’s date, Huda told him that she would tell Nic about her daughter. Jeremiah later seemed to say, “Oh Huda said she’s going to tell Nic, so I can have a dad’s perspective,” according to the subtitles. This sent Love Island fans into a frenzy asking if he really is a dad. “If Nick IS a dad, he’s just as wrong as Huda for hiding it!” one fan wrote on TikTok. Another wrote on X, “Why is nobody talking about Nic apparently being a DAD?!?!?!”
Is Nic from Love Island USA a father?
From his social media presence, Nic doesn’t seem to be a father. His Instagram is filled with pictures from his modelling gigs and his former relationship with fellow model Devon Christenson. Her Instagram profile also does not have evidence that they have a child together.
Many fans also pointed out that Jeremiah did not, in fact, say “dad’s perspective,” but rather “guy’s perspective.” Which would make way more sense in the context of all things. Fans have been noticing that the subtitles have been wrong this whole season. “This season of love island is not giving😭 the subtitles are terrible, I heard guy’s perspective 😭🤣 yikes,” one fan wrote in the TikTok comments.
Though we cannot confirm or deny Nic being a parent, one Islander has been contemplating revealing her status as a parent. Once Huda established a connection with Jeremiah, she told him that she’s a single mother to a 4-year-old daughter. “And you’re 24?” Jeremiah responded. Even the rest of the Islanders were surprised, but Huda explained her reasoning to keep it hidden away for a while. “I do want to wait to, like, tell people because I feel like it’s my thing to tell,” she told the girls.
Some fans reacted online to the news and how late she was with her transparency and considered the timing of it to be manipulative. “huda should just be open about being a mother she’s a big part of your life,” one fan wrote on X. Another wrote, “Huda calling herself emotionally mature yet is omitting the fact that she has a child and cried because someone told her to hush is ironic.”
