Jonathon on Bachelor in Paradise 2025

He’s Bachelor Nation’s self-proclaimed “Medium King,” but what is Jonathon’s real height from Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 and how tall is he really? ABC may have done him dirty by lying about his and his castmate’s heights.

Jonathon Johnson, a 28-year-old Creative Director from Kansas City, Missouri, is one of more than 30 contestants on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10. He was originally a contestant on The Bachelorette Season 21 with Jenn Tran, where he came in third place. From his debut on Bachelor Nation, Jonathon has referred to himself as a “medium king.” “We don’t have the personality of short kings. We also don’t have the sex appeal of tall kings; it’s not in our vocabulary,” he said in an Instagram video in 2024. “What we do have is very moderate personalities, very average height, and above-average potential.” But how tall is he in real life? We investigate Jonathon’s actual height, below.

What is Jonathon’s height from Bachelor in Paradise?

Jonathon is 5’11”, according to an interview he gave on the “Lightweights” podcast in February 2025 in which he explained why he thought ABC chose his Bachelorette Season 21 castmate, Grant Ellis, over him as the Season 29 Bachelor.

“No. Not a mention, not an ask, not a ‘Hey, we’d love to just like sit you down for a conversation.’ Not once,” Jonathon told the podcast when asked if he ever had a conversation about ABC about being the Bachelor. When asked why he thought Grant was picked over him, Jonathon laughed, “I have no idea. But I always make the joke it’s ’cause he’s over 6 foot, and I’m 5’11.””

Jonathon also confirmed he was 5’11” in a TikTok video in February 2025. “Let’s find out if I’m average. They say size doesn’t matter. But women seem to care, and I’ve always been told I’m a little small. So I figured we’d measure, and 5’11” is perfectly find. Medium Kings for the win,” he captioned a video of him measuring his height with a tape measure that showed he was, in deed, 5’11”.

“It’s all about how you use it 😂 (all 5’11” of it) • • • • I’m convinced women don’t actually care, it’s when you give “short energy” that it’s a problem lol I own my height and have never had a problem… what do y’all think? 🤔 ,” Jonathon captioned the video.

For what it’s worth, Season 28 Bachelor Joey Graziadei is also 5’11”. Other “medium kings” from Bachelor Nation include Season 14 Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick, who is 5’9″, and Season 14 Bachelor Jake Pavelka, who is 5’10”, and Season 18 Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis, who is 5’11”.

Jonathon’s real height means that ABC lied about how tall he was in his intro package for Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, which showed him and his castmate, Jeremy Simon, exiting a jeep together. “I’m Jonathon, your favorite medium king. Not to flex, but also very much a flex,” Jonathon said in the package. “Some guys chase clout. Some guys chase abs. But I’m here to chase something that will actually last. So if you’re here to for a 6’4″ guy, lower your expectations or raise your standards.”

The intro package also included a clip of Jeremy and Jonathon walking in the sand. Above Jeremy’s head was the height 5’10”, while above Jonathon was 5′?”. Given that Jonathon’s real height of 5’11” is taller than 5’10”, that means that Bachelor in Paradise lied about both his and Jeremy’s height to make Jonathon seem shorter. While Jeremy’s height hasn’t been confirmed, he seemed to be taller than Jonathon in the intro package, which means that he’s not 5’10”.

Jonathon isn’t the only reality TV dating star this year to be caught in a controversy around their height. Ace Greene, a contestant on Love Island USA Season 7, was also accused of lying about his height by his castmate, Austin Shepard. During Love Island USA, Ace claimed that he was 5’10”, however, fans speculated that he was lying due to his noticeable height difference with his castmates and scenes where his feet struggled to touch the ground when he was sitting down.

“One of us — out of the two — is 6’5 and one of us is 5’10 and has the balls to say some shit around here because I have some heart,” Ace told Austin in a fight during Love Island USA Season 7. After Austin was eliminated, he was asked by a fan in a TikTok comment whether he could “confirm or deny” Ace’s claim that he was 5’10”. Austin responded, “5’6 on a good day,” seemingly suggesting that Ace was shorter than he claimed to be on Love Island USA.
