Love Island USA Season 7 spoilers ahead. They were one of the only couples to close themselves off in the villa, but are Taylor and Clarke still together from Love Island USA Season 7? Clarke hinted at the biggest issue in her and Taylor’s relationship before they were dumped ahead of the finale.
Taylor Williams, a 25-year-old from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Clarke Carraway, a 24-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, coupled up on Day 17 of Love Island USA Season 7. Taylor was an original islander who had been coupled up with Olandria Carthen, a 27-year-old from Decatur, Alabama, from the start, while Clarke was a bombshell in Casa Amor.

Their coupling and recoupling when the Casa Amor islanders returned to the original villa proved to be one of the most controversial storylines on Love Island USA Season 7 after Taylor chose to stay coupled up with Clarke instead of returning to his previous relationship with Olandria.
While the trio were involved in a love triangle for a short period of time, Taylor made clear that he was choosing Clarke for good in the “Standing on Business” challenge after Casa Amor. Taylor and Clarke also became one of the few couples on Love Island USA Season 7 to become exclusive in the July 8, 2025, episode when Taylor had the male islanders perform a cheer routine before he popped the exclusive question to Clarke in front of the villa.
That same night, however, Taylor and Clarke faced bad news as they were dumped from the island after receiving the fewest amount of votes from America. The day of their dumping, Taylor even confessed that Clarke may be The One. But where are they now?

Taylor and Clarke confirmed they were still together in an interview with E! News on July 11, 2025, in which they opened up about their plans to make their relationship work despite living in different states. (Taylor is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, while Clarke is from Charlotte, North Carolina.)
“We’ve talked about making it work,” Taylor said. “We already had communications about me going down to Charlotte and her coming to Oklahoma, so we’re definitely gonna make it work.” Clarke, for her part, confessed that she’s known to “overpack at all times,” but she’s ready to keep her suitcase light when she visits Taylor’s farm. “I just need my cowgirl things ready,” she said. “I probably won’t even wear half the stuff that’s in my closet.”
Taylor and Clarke also confirmed their plans to “see each other” in the real world in an interview with Us Weekly. “Get her turned into a little cowgirl and see how well she does being a cowgirl,” Taylor said. “It is something that we’re going to keep going.” Clarke, for her part, told the magazine that she’s “for sure” down to be Taylor’s cowgirl.
Clarke also reacted to Taylor claiming Clarke could be The One before their elimination on Love Island USA. “I didn’t hear that!” she said. “That’s my first time hearing that. Interesting. When did you say that?” She continued, “I love to hear that. I mean, I always have felt reassured. I love that we’re on the same page.”
Whether they stay together is the real question. As Clarke mentioned in her and Taylor’s last episode, distance will likely play a part in their relationship post-show. Clarke is from Charlotte, North Carolina, while Taylor is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. While their hometowns aren’t that far apart from each other (at least, not compared to other couples who live on opposite coasts or even in different countries), as Love Island USA fans know, distance is the main reason that most couples from the show—and other reality TV dating series—break up after filming ends.
Distance is also the reason that most couples on reality TV dating shows, including Love Island USA, break up, so Taylor and Clarke have an uphill battle to climb. After Love Island USA Season 5, runners-up Kassy Castillo and Leonardo Dionicio announced that they had split due to the distance between them. (Kassy is from Fort Worth, Texas, while Leo is from West Hartford, Connecticut.)
“No Leo and I are not together, I think it’s just best that we do our own thing right now. It’s long-distance, it’s a lot. I still care for him and wish him all the best. Truly. He was my Love Island experience so he has a special place in my heart,” Kassy said in an Instagram live in 2023.
She continued, “Everything was real and genuine, that’s what makes it harder now. Breakups suck. All that I ask is for everyone to give us time because it’s so new. I care for him so much and I wish it didn’t go this way but I really do think this is for the best. I hope soon… who knows? I’m open to anything in the future but it’s just not aligning. He doesn’t deserve any harsh words or comments.”

While Clarke and Taylor live in separate states and could face the same fate as Leo and Kassy, it’s also possible for their relationship to work long distance, like Season 6’s runners-up, Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi. Leah is from Los Angeles, California, while Miguel is from London, United Kingdom.
In an interview with StyleCaster in February 2025, Leah explained that she and Miguel made their relationship work post-Love Island USA because Miguel almost immediately moved to Los Angeles to be closer to her. “It’s always been my dream to have a barn so I can take in foster animals,” Leah told StyleCaster about her and Miguel’s plans to build a house together. “Miguel gets to pick one animal. He wants a cow. I want fainting goats.”
Love Island USA streams on Peacock.
