Huda Mustafa, a 24-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina, was an original islander who joined Love Island USA Season 7 on Day 1. Chris Seeley, a 27-year-old from Fresno, California, entered as a Casa Amor boy on Day 17. They coupled up for the first time on Day 20 after Casa Amor, where Chris had a brief romance with Chelley Bissainthe. Huda, for her part, had been single since her breakup with her strongest connection, Jeremiah Brown, ended on Day 13 when Jeremiah chose to couple up with bombshell Iris Kendall over her. Jeremiah was dumped from the island on Day 16, leaving no chance for him and Huda to reunite.

After they coupled up, Huda and Chris had one of the most difficult relationships of the four couples in Love Island USA Season 7 finale due to their miscommunication over public displays of affection. They seemed to have a fight in every episode leading to the finale. But are Huda and Chris still together from Love Island USA Season 7? Here’s what we know.
Are Huda and Chris still together from Love Island USA?
Huda and Chris broke up during their date in the Love Island USA Season 7 finale after their fight over Chris not wanting to cuddle Huda the night before. Huda was the one who broke up with Chris. Even if they worked out their communication issues, however, Huda and Chris would still have to overcome the long distance in their relationship, which Huda brought up during their last date. Huda lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, while Chris is from Fresno, California, but plays for a professional basketball team in Indonesia. Huda also has a daughter, Arleigh, with her ex-boyfriend, Noah Sheline. While Chris has told Huda that he has no issues with her being a mother, fans were skeptical of how their relationship could work if Chris lives in Indonesia.
Huda’s ex, however, supported her decision to go on Love Island USA. “At the end of the day I hope everyone remembers we’re human,” he wrote in an Instagram Story in June 2025 in response to the hate Huda was receiving. “Her going on that show to find love, or whatever you think it was she’s doing, remember she’s still human, she has a daughter, and a life.” He continued, “She’s maybe not doing a great job idk I don’t watch the show but I don’t like that I’m seeing so much negative shit on my page or even clips of it about her,” he added, calling the hate “unhealthy.”
He also expressed his concern for her mental health. “It’s not my job to police her or the people in my comments, but I will say what you guys do will affect her mental health and my daughter’s maybe in the future. So I’m looking out for her in that aspect. Out of respect for our daughter,” he wrote.
As fans know, distance is one of the main reasons most couples from Love Island USA—and dating shows in general—break up after filming ends, and that issue is only heightened when there are kids involved. After Love Island USA Season 5, runners-up Kassy Castillo and Leonardo Dionicio announced that they had split due to the distance between them.
