Spoilers ahead for The Summer I Turned Pretty. We’re only three episodes into Season 3 of the hit Prime Video teen series, and we’re already screaming about everything, including the ring that Jeremiah proposed to Belly with.

ICYMI, Jeremiah proposed to Belly in episode 2 of the latest season. Mind you, this was after her brother Steven woke up from a medically induced coma and weeks after she found out he cheated (depending on who you’re asking) on her while on a trip to Cabo. The act follows along the same events from the book, but Jere didn’t have a ring on his person while popping the question.

Fast forward to episode 3, Belly is at Jeremiah’s place, and he finally proposes with an actual ring. The ring is simple with a gold wire and a small diamond gemstone. During the show, Belly makes the effort to hide the ring in her pocket until she’s ready to tell her friends and family. When she shows it to Taylor, her best friend reacts, “Is it like a diamond or a silver of tinfoil?”

After Susannah’s garden dedication in Cousins, Belly, Jeremiah, her mom Laurel, his dad Adam, Steven, and (surprise!) Conrad eats at a fancy seafood restaurant where Belly proudly declares that she and Jeremiah are engaged while showing off the ring. The whole table is baffled. Laurel calls her daughter and her new fiancé irresponsible and delusional, and everyone immediately leaves. Conrad is looking disappointed while “No Surprises” by Radiohead plays in the background. It’s a somber scene to end on, but much of the internet is clowning on the ring.

“i’ve seen promise rings bigger than belly’s engagement ring,” one person wrote on X. “Let me get my binoculars to see Belly’s engagement ring from Jeremiah,” one TikTok user said. “Mind you this man comes from money. This man is rich rich.”

Other fans roasted Belly’s decision to hide it, saying “belly saying she wish she could wear the ring now mind u she could and nobody would notice.

Well, if you’re curious and want to score the same engagement ring as Belly, it’s available to buy on Catbird. The Diamond Fizz Ring’s price is at a steady $298, which on Jeremiah’s college budget, seems super reasonable for an engagement ring. If you’re looking for a smaller (Remember, he owes his father $20,000 for not reading his degree requirements, hence making him a college super senior.) It’s made at their Brooklyn studio with 100% recycled solid 14k gold and recycled diamonds. The jewelry brand partnered with The Summer I Turned Pretty for eight beautiful pieces.
