Shakira Khan, a 22-year-old from Burnley, United Kingdom, and Harry Cooksley, a 30-year-old from Guildford, were the runners-up of Love Island UK Season 12. They both entered the show on Day 1, however, they didn’t couple up for the first time until Day 14 when they left their previous relationships with Helena Ford and Ben Holbrogh for each other. Shakira and Harry remained coupled up for two recouplings before they split again on Day 26.

They recoupled for a final time on Day 48 and stayed together until the Love Island UK Season 12 finale, where they were announced as the runners-up after winners Antonia “Toni” Laites and Cacherel “Cach” Mercer. Are Shakira and Harry still together from Love Island UK Season 12?
At the time of writing, Shakira and Harry are still together after the Love Island UK Season 12 finale. However, it’s still early days in their relationship, given that the Love Island UK Season 12 finale was filmed only a couple days before it aired on ITV.
“I think from myself, I’m extremely grateful to be here. I know it wasn’t a smooth journey, but yeah thank you so much for everyone that voted. I really hope it comes across as real because this is very real,” Harry said in a video on Love Island UK‘s official Instagram after the finale. Shakira added, “I can’t believe we’re runner’s up and my two girlies [are] in the final. I’m literally on cloud nine. So thank you so much for just seeing it through with us.”
While it’s unclear what the future of Shakira and Harry’s relationship is, Shakira and Harry’s castmate, Billykiss Azeez, told Capital ahead of the Love Island UK Season 12 finale that she believed the couple were the real deal, despite everything that happened in the villa. “I know some people are like, ‘what?’. I’m not condoning Harry’s behaviour at all, but I feel like for Shakira herself to end things with Conor very late within the journey says a lot,” she said.
She continued, “She didn’t end things with him with intentions of getting back with Harry. I think she truly said, ‘this is how I feel and I’m going to stay true to myself’. And I feel like at the end of the day, like this is part of the journey.
Billykiss even named Shakira and Harry as her choice to win Love Island UK Season 12. “Like, no one has a very smooth journey. Everyone has a very complex journey and they genuinely, really like each other and I think they deserve to win,” he said.
She also told the site that he understood why Shakira and Harry got back together, despite their love triangle with Helena. “Shakira really, really likes Harry, like, she does. And I feel like sometimes the heart wants what it wants and you can’t blame a girl for having genuine feelings for someone,” she said.
She continued, “Obviously with Shakira, she’s such a smart person and she’s been very emotionally intelligent with her decisions. Like, even when she closed things off with Harry, she really closed things off. She didn’t leave the door slightly unlocked.”
