Sling TV just got a whole lot cheaper. The live TV streaming service just launched a new pricing option starting at $4.99 for cable cutters who want to watch their favorite channels live without committing to a month-long subscription. It’s an affordable pass designed for ultimate flexibility.

What are Sling TV’s Pass Options?

Sling TV‘s new streaming options allow users to purchase a one-day pass for $4.99, a weekend pass for $9.99 or a week-long pass for $14.99. The Day Pass provides access for one day or 24 hours; the Weekend Pass provides access for three days from Friday to Sunday; while the Week Pass provides access for seven days or a full week. All three options are one-time charges.

While Sling TV will still offer its monthly subscription service plans (Sling Orange, Sling Blue and Sling Orange + Blue) starting at $45.99 per month, the service’s new pass options are designed to give users the freedom to watch what they want, when they want, without committing to a full month. The option is best used when users just need a live TV service in the short term to watch a live event (such as a must-see game) or marathon a show in a weekend.

Currently, Sling TV’s passes only offer their Orange plan, which offers 34 total channels such as ESPN, CNN, and Disney Channel, as well as the ability to stream on one device at a time.

“This launch is about putting control back in the hands of the fans, whether it’s tuning in for college football, professional sports, award shows, or a spontaneous movie night, all without having to sign a long-term, binding contract,” Seth Van Sickel, senior vice president, product and operations, Sling TV, told The Hollywood Reporter of Flex Pass. “With college football just around the corner, our new Day Pass offering is all consumers need to win on game day, for just $4.99.”

He continued, “Built for the way people actually watch TV today, our new passes put viewers in control. For just $4.99, fans can dive into live sports, trending shows, or special events with no strings attached. It’s instant access, ultimate flexibility and an unbeatable value.”
