The series, which originally premiered on Netflix in February 2023, brings together singles from various Netflix reality shows as they date in an effort to find their perfect match. For the first time in Perfect Match history, Season 3 introduced contestants from non-Netflix reality shows including The Bachelor, Love Island, and Siesta Key. Rachel originally starred on The Bachelor Season 26, The Bachelorette Season 19, and Bachelor in Paradise Season 9, while Ray appeared on Love Island USA Season 1.

Of the five couples in the finale, Rachel and Ray were the last to couple up after only matching for the first time in Episodes 7 and 8. Prior to that, Rachel was matched with Clayton, Scott, and had been on a date with Freddie. But, as she said in the finale, she went through a lot to get to where she was with Ray. So are Rachel and Ray still together from The Perfect Match Season 3? Read on for what we know.

Are Rachel and Ray still together from The Perfect Match Season 3

Rachel and Ray aren’t together after The Perfect Match Season 3 finale. They confirmed their relationship status in an interview with Tudum after the finale, in which they revealed that they remain good friends. “We had no time on the show,” Rachel said. “When we left, things changed so quickly.” She continued, “Even when I was choosing Ray, I knew that we would have a solid friendship first, and we still do. We truly are there for each other and see each other often.” Ray, for his part, also confirmed that he and Rachel are still “a big part of each other’s lives.” “We make a real effort to hang out whenever I’m in LA, and we talk all the time,” he said. “She’ll always have a special place in my heart. When Rachel walks into a room, the whole place lights up.”

Before the confirmation, Rachel seemed to hint that she and Ray were still together during an interview on “The Viall Files” in August 2025, in which she revealed that she “might be talking to someone” still from The Perfect Match

While Rachel didn’t name who she was still seeing, she confirmed that he was a Love Island alum, which narrows the name down to Ray, Scott van-der Sluiss (Love Island UK Season 10), and Carrington Rodriguez (Love Island USA Season 2). Given that Rachel and Ray ended The Perfect Match Season 3 together, it’s likely that she’s referring to Ray. “There are three Love Island guys. I’ll say that. I don’t know which one though,” she said. Rachel and Ray also still follow each other on Instagram, at the time of writing.

While Rachel and Ray are on good terms, the same can’t be said about Rachel and her Season 26 Bachelor ex, Clayton Echard, whom she matched with on her first night only to break up less than 24 hours later. In an interview on the “What’s the Reality?” podcast in August 2025, Rachel claimed that Clayton unmatched with her because she wasn’t a “gym girlie.” During the interview, Rachel recalled listening to Clayton’s interview on “The Viall Files” podcast, in which he revealed that he ended things with her for a reason he never disclosed to her on the show because he didn’t believe she would understand.

“I called that man so many times yesterday, and I have an answer,” Rachel said. “I wake up in the morning and my inbox is flooded with my friends being like, ‘He’s alluding to the fact that he needs to come to us with some issue about you.’”

She continued, “I could not figure out what he was talking about, and it scared me. My friends were calling him all day, and he wouldn’t answer. Finally, he calls me.”

Once they finally talked, Clayton confessed to Rachel why he thought they were incompatible. “So, the reason why Clayton feels we are incompatible and that he was so sure [of] is because I am not a gym girlie. He wants someone who lives a very active lifestyle and goes to the gym and hits the weights — and [that’s] not me. It’s never going to be me,” she said.

She continued, “I like to travel and to shop, and sit at the bar. You know, I go on a hot girl walk. He wants to clarify, though, and I will give him this. It’s not that he thinks I have a bad body, [but] it’s that my lifestyle of not liking to hike or go to the gym is not compatible with him.”

Rachel also revealed why Clayton didn’t tell her the true reason he broke up with her while filming The Perfect Match. “He thought, if he said that, the public would take it as an attack on my body or, like, I’m lazy or something,” Rachel said. “I’m, like, ‘I do work out. It’s just I do not go to the Equinox!’ Equinox membership needed to date him. That is the reason, [which is] so weird.”

The Perfect Match is available to stream on Netflix.
