Lucy Syed and Daniel Perfetto were one of five couples The Perfect Match Season 3 finale, along with Louis Russell and Sandy Gallagher; Madison Errichiello and Freddie Powell; Rachel Recchia and Ray Gantt; and Amber Desiree “AD” Smith and Ollie Sutherland. Lucy and Daniel were announced as the winners of The Perfect Match Season 3 in the finale afte receiving more votes than runners-up, AD and Ollie.

The series, which originally premiered on Netflix in February 2023, brings together singles from various Netflix reality shows as they date in an effort to find their perfect match. Lucy originally starred on Too Hot to Handle Season 6, while Daniel appeared on Dated and Related Season 1. For the first time in Perfect Match history, Season 3 introduced contestants from non-Netflix reality shows including The Bachelor, Love Island, and Siesta Key.
Despite several ups and downs throughout the season, Lucy and Daniel were one of the strongest couples to make it to the finale after matching on the first night and staying together until the end. While AD and Ollie seemed to be the fan favorite to win (given that they’re engaged and expecting a baby now), Lucy and Daniel were a close threat. So are Lucy and Daniel still together from The Perfect Match Season 3?

Lucy and Daniel split after The Perfect Match Season 3 finale. The show confirmed the news in a text card after Lucy and Daniel were announced as the winners of the season. However, they do follow each other on Instagram, at the time, which is a good sign of their friendship.
Though the reason for Lucy and Daniel’s breakup remains unclear, there were rumors that Freddie and his Perfect Match Season 3 cast mate Freddie Powell, who ended the show with Madison Errichiello, were dating after fans noticed that they both posted Instagram photos from the same place. “Dress code Perfect Match boys mixer- Red Flag behaviour,” Lucy captioned an Instagram post of her posing in front of the same background as Freddie in Los Angeles. “No place I’d rather be,” Freddie captioned his post. Fans also identified Lucy by her shadow in Freddie’s post.
Lucy and Daniel faced drama in Episode 8 when Lucy learned that Daniel had kissed Temptation Island Season 9 star Olivia Rae during the boys’ mixer. Olivia also confirmed the kiss, even claiming that Daniel had “licked” her leg.
After Lucy confronted Daniel about what she had heard, Daniel confessed to what he had done, apologized, and told Lucy that he wanted to earn her trust. In a confessional interview, Daniel admitted that had a habit of “always… throwing a good thing away.” During his conversation with Lucy, he admitted that he “f—d up” and let things “get out of control.”
Though hurt and unsure of their connection, Lucy decided to give Daniel another chance and matched with him, and the two stayed together until The Perfect Match Season 3 finale when they won the series.
