It’s a relationship we didn’t see coming. Love Island USA‘s Huda and Perfect Match‘s Louis just seemingly soft-launched on Instagram, but are they really together?
Huda Mustafa, a 24-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina, was an original islander who joined Love Island USA Season 7 on Day 1. Meanwhile, Louis recently starred in Netflix’s Perfect Match after starring in Too Hot to Handle. Huda recently called it quits with her Love Island USA partner during Chris Seeley during the Season 7 finale. During an interview with , Huda said she wishes her ex the best.
As for where she stands with her Love Island USA partner, she told Entertainment Tonight, “I hope that he enjoys his life, but I am not besties with him,” she said. “It takes more than just being cordial. It takes a lot for someone to be truly close with me.” So it’s safe to say, she’s been on the market. However, Netflix’s Perfect Match Season 3 was still airing when they went out together, and Netflix usually makes their contestants withhold their love life status when the show goes live.
Are Love Island USA‘s Huda & Perfect Match‘s Louis dating?
Yes, it seems like Huda and Louis are officially dating. Everything started when Huda and Louis were holding hands on the Weapons red carpet in Hollywood on Aug. 1. Things intensified on Aug. 17 when Huda posted an Instagram story of her with snorkeling gear with Louis seemingly kissing her neck. Three days later, Louis posted a video of him promoting his new single “She Pretty” when fans noticed a familiar hand that was caressing Louis’ face. All signs led to that hand being Huda’s.
The lyrics for his song are also incredibly suspicious, considering he raps: “TikTok know she pretty / IG know she pretty / Going viral ’cause she pretty / They follow ’cause she pretty.” Huda also appeared in Louis’ livestream, where she freestyle rapped.
The two were also seen out clubbing the day before the Love Island USA reunion. In an interview clip, Huda drew out her dream man and lots of people saw the resemblance between the drawing and Louis’ face. “I just think that this is a pretty man. Trust the vision,” she said. Coincidence? We think not.
However, Louis’ partner on Perfect Match had some things to say about their soft launch. “They quite literally hit a red carpet and hard-launched their whatever relationship the day that our show premiered,” she said on an episode of the “What’s the Reality” podcast. “When you’re on dating shows, you have to keep your dating life on lockdown until the show is done because it ruins the show.”
Sandy recalled being “upset” about seeing the pictures when they went public.“I did not say a word to him about it. … I was upset mostly for the show, not for me, personally. It was, like, a little bit of a relief in a way, but for the sake of the show, the other castmates, our story line and, most importantly, the audience, I thought it was a really, really big slap in the face and a disrespect to the whole production.”
“We have two weeks of airtime. You could have waited two weeks, especially with your relationship that has only been alive for two weeks,” Sandy said. “Any other real relationship, like all of ours, we’ve had to wait months and months and months to actually reveal what’s going on for this show [and] the timing of it.”
“For him to do that was just, like, very disrespectful and selfish,” Sandy said.
