Louis from Perfect Match, Huda from Love Island USA
Netflix/Peacock

Love Island USAs Huda is sailing at full speed with her new relationship with Louis Russell, but one big streaming company forced her to keep mum about it.

While the Love Island USA reunion dished on every couple’s whereabouts now, Huda didn’t elaborate much about who she’s seeing currently. “I can’t speak about my relationships outside the villa,” Huda said that “legal reasons” prohibited her from spilling information about her relationship and explaining, “It’s Netflix, I’m not allowed to talk about it.”

“Netflix won’t let you say whether you’re dating somebody?” host Andy Cohen asked. He even tried to pry more info out of her. “You were on a red carpet with somebody….Is that someone you’re seeing?” he said before shading the streamer. “Tell Netflix this was the number one streaming show of the summer.”

In case you missed it, Huda attended the Weapons red carpet premiere with the Perfect Match‘s Louis Russell hand-in-hand. The two have made appearances on each other’s social media posts since then, but they’ve never officially made a statement about their relationship.

What happened between Huda & Netflix?

Huda didn’t talk about her relationship because Perfect Match was still airing on Netflix when the reunion was filmed. The third season of the Netflix show premiered on August 1, 2025, and concluded two weeks later on August 15. The reunion was filmed on August 11. Usually, dating shows force contestants to keep quiet about their dating lives until the show ends.

Though Huda and Louis did soft-launch themselves on the red carpet on August 1, his co-star and partner on the show, Sandy Gallagher, recalled being “upset” when she saw the photos. “I did not say a word to him about it,” she said on an episode of the “What’s the Reality” podcast. “I was upset mostly for the show, not for me, personally. It was, like, a little bit of a relief in a way, but for the sake of the show, the other castmates, our story line and, most importantly, the audience, I thought it was a really, really big slap in the face and a disrespect to the whole production.”

“We have two weeks of airtime. You could have waited two weeks, especially with your relationship that has only been alive for two weeks,” Sandy said. “Any other real relationship, like all of ours, we’ve had to wait months and months and months to actually reveal what’s going on for this show [and] the timing of it.”

“For him to do that was just, like, very disrespectful and selfish,” Sandy said.

Right after the reunion, Netflix went ahead and responded to the rumors and Andy’s shade. “DON’T @ ME IDK!!!” the streaming giant wrote in their X bio.
