Perfect Match’s Louis Seemingly Responded to Love Island USA’s Huda Claim That Netflix Tried to Silence Her on Their Relationship
What an iconic soft-launch. Huda and Louis’ red carpet photos were just mentioned on the Love Island USA reunion, so let’s revisit that jaw-dropping moment.
While everyone was updating about their love lives, Huda had to keep quiet about the new man she was seeing. “I can’t speak about my relationships outside the villa,” Huda replied. “Legal reasons. I’m not allowed to speak. It’s Netflix. I’m not allowed to talk about it.”
“Netflix won’t let you say whether you’re dating somebody?” host Andy Cohen asked. He even tried to pry more info out of her. “You were on a red carpet with somebody….Is that someone you’re seeing?” he said before shading the streamer.

That somebody turned out to be Louis Russell from Perfect Match. The two have been pretty public about their relationship without making it official.

Huda and Louis were hand-in-hand on the red carpet of Weapons on July 31, 2025. It was the first public appearance of the two reality stars at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie.
While hand-holding might make people suspicious about the Love Island USA alum’s dating status, Huda hinted that the relationship progressed when she posted an Instagram story of her with snorkeling gear with Louis seemingly kissing her neck. Three days later, Louis posted a video of him promoting his new single “She Pretty” when fans noticed a familiar hand that was caressing Louis’ face. All signs led to that hand being Huda’s.
Louis’ partner on Perfect Match, Sandy Gallagher, slammed him and Huda for breaking dating show protocol right before their season of the show premiered. “They quite literally hit a red carpet and hard-launched their whatever relationship the day that our show premiered,” she said on the “What’s the Reality” podcast. “When you’re on dating shows, you have to keep your dating life on lockdown until the show is done because it ruins the show.”
“I did not say a word to him about it. … I was upset mostly for the show, not for me, personally. It was, like, a little bit of a relief in a way, but for the sake of the show, the other castmates, our story line and, most importantly, the audience, I thought it was a really, really big slap in the face and a disrespect to the whole production.”
“We have two weeks of airtime. You could have waited two weeks, especially with your relationship that has only been alive for two weeks,” Sandy said. “Any other real relationship, like all of ours, we’ve had to wait months and months and months to actually reveal what’s going on for this show [and] the timing of it.”
Louis posted a video of him promoting his new single “She Pretty” when fans noticed a familiar hand that was caressing Louis’ face. All signs led to that hand being Huda’s. During the premiere party of the song, Huda was seen alongside Louis. He also made a shady post following the reunion: “I Mind My Business,” he wrote in the caption.
