The Masked Singer‘s Handyman surely has a recognizable voice. Season 14 kicked off with a fun performance from this contestant, and one of the judges might be close to finding the answer to who’s behind the mask.

Handyman owned the stage by moving and grooving to his rendition of “Shake Your Groove Thing” by Peaches & Herb with a posse of construction crew dancers behind him. “Ladies love Handyman” Judge Ken Jeong exclaimed. The judges threw around guesses like Idris Elba (Ken), Tone Loc (Robin), and Vin Diesel (Rita), mostly based on the raspiness of the voice. But who came close?

Who’s Handyman on The Masked Singer?

We can’t help but agree with Robin that this Masked Singer contestant is, in fact, Tone Lōc. From his low-toned voice to the pretty unique facts about himself, take a look at why we’re convinced it’s the famed 90s actor.

Episode 1

  • “I grew up on the West Coast, and as a kid, I was scrappy. I was a tough guy and I rode around with an interesting crew.”

Tone Lōc was born and raised in LA, and was part of the rap group Triple A.

  • Suddenly, the crowd I was rollin’ with included everyone from De Niro to Courteney Cox. Turns out, I could still be scrappy, but use that attitude for something good.

As an actor, he starred in Heat with Robert De Niro and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective with Courteney Cox.

  • Ace of Spades License Plate

Doubling down on that Ace Ventura: Pet Detective nod and a reference to his song “Ace of the House.”

  • Wild Guy Face

It could be a reference to his hit song “Wild Thing.”
