Every little thing matters to Tell Me Lies fans. After Season 3 of the hit drama series premiered on Hulu, fans are speculating that a new important character might take the stage.
Season 3 kicks off after the chaotic events in the previous season, and we see things unfold at Bree’s (Catherine Missal) wedding, and the Baird college students take MDMA and party it up 80’s style.

When Stephen (Jackson White) heads to Max’s (Edmund Donovan) bar, he opens up his flip phone and tries to call his sister Sadie, but below her contact name, two names appear: Dilan and Hannah. But do these names hold meaning to Stephen in the long run?

Hannah’s identity remains unknown in Tell Me Lies. There’s no mention of a Hannah or a Dilan in the book series by Carola Lovering. However, fans are putting on their sleuthing hats to figure out who the mysterious missed caller was from Stephen’s phone.
“As someone who notices every little detail, did anyone else catch Stephan’s recent call history? Who is Dilan and Hannah?!” a person on TikTok wrote. Another replied, “I did! Put it in the ‘will be important later’ box, for sure.” Other TikTokers agree with the sentiment and are theorizing ideas, with one person writing, “I think Hannah is Bree it’s a coverup possibly…..?”
Though we can probably put Hannah on the back burner for now, the mystery of Bree’s incessant caller still lives on. “Please just leave me alone. I want to feel like a good person,” the bride says right before her special moment. But one thing’s for sure: showrunner Meghan Oppenheimer confirmed that it’s not these two suspicious characters. In an interview with Variety, she said that the identity “would be a reveal in a later season. But it’s not Stephen and it’s not Oliver.”
As for what happens after Stephen calls his sister, Sadie doesn’t return any of his calls to the point where his mom intercepts and tells him to stop. She also reveals that Sadie’s not doing so well and her grades are slipping, and advises him not to visit her anymore.
