Hyacinth - Bridgerton

Warning: Bridgerton spoilers ahead. With five of the eight Bridgerton siblings married and coupled up in the TV series, fans are looking at who will marry the three remaining single Bridgertons, namely the family’s youngest child, Hyacinth.

Hyacinth, played by Florence Hunt, is the eighth and youngest child in the Bridgerton family. While she made her debut in Season 1, Episode 1, Hyacinth has mainly played a background role in the Bridgerton TV series—that is, until Season 4 when she reveals her desire to find love like her siblings at a mock ball.

“I think [it’s] natural when you’re younger, and you have a sibling that you look up to,” Hunt told Variety in January 2026. “Hyacinth’s got seven older siblings, and they’re going through these adult situations, and her main exposure to the world is through her siblings. As a younger child, you’re desperate to get there and join them on that journey, but you can’t quite comprehend the fact that you’re younger and that can’t happen yet.”

Who does Hyacinth marry in the Bridgerton books?

Hyacinth on Bridgerton

Hyacinth is the protagonist of Bridgerton author Julia Quinn’s seventh book, It’s in His Kiss, in which she meets and falls in love with Lady Danbury’s grandson, Gareth St. Clair. Given that Gareth is Lady Danbury’s grandson, that means that Hyacinth’s love interest is somewhat related to Bridgerton’s first love interest, Simon Basset a.k.a. the Duke of Hastings, who became Lady Danbury’s ward after his mother, Sarah, died.

“Gareth St. Clair is in a bind. His father, who detests him, is determined to beggar the St. Clair estates and ruin his inheritance,” a book summary reads. “Gareth’s sole bequest is an old family diary, which may or may not contain the secrets of his past … and the key to his future. The problem is — it’s written in Italian, of which Gareth speaks not a word.”

The book follows Hyacinth and Gareth’s love story as Gareth enlists Hyacinth’s help in helping him translate his journal from Italian to English, despite Hyacinth’s subpar Italian herself. Along the way, fall in love, with the book ending with them getting married and eventually having two children, a son named George and a daughter named Isabella.

“It would be fun to see how [Hyacinth] finally gets introduced into the marriage mart,” Hunt told Variety. “We’ve had so many seasons of building up to her presentation into society and meeting these possible suitors that I’m really excited to see how she actually copes in those situations, because it’s something that she desires.”

Hunt also addressed speculation that Hyacinth could be recast in the series, like how Francesca Bridgerton was when Hannah Dodd replaced Ruby Stokes. “It would be an absolute honor to just even see what happens in her life,” Hunt said. “Obviously, I’ve read the book — I know what the end goal is, but to be able to stick with her through that would be an absolute dream. Fingers crossed I will, but it’s also nerve-racking. Bridgerton is a huge, huge show, and you carry a lot of pressure to entertain everyone on that season.”

Quinn also addressed recasting speculation in an interview with Us Weekly in February 2026. “Jess [Brownell, the showrunner] has said the next two seasons will be either Eloise and then Francesca or Francesca and then Eloise, which makes sense. It takes a few years to film, so by the time we get to Hyacinth and Gregory, [their] actors are going to be well into their 20s,” she said. “So, I think it’ll probably be OK. Will it be weird that we knew them when they were 12? We see child stars grow up all the time.”
