What is Prime Premiere?

Prime Premiere is Amazon’s new feature where Prime members can watch new Amazon original movies and TV series at their local movie theater for free. Yes: Free.

Each Prime account receives one reservation to one movie theater per Prime Premiere event. Those events include screenings to Amazon originals such as Sitting in the Bars With Cake, A Million Miles Away, Gen V, The Burial, and Candy Cane Lane.

Each reservation comes with two free tickets: one ticket for the Prime account holder and one for their guest. Each ticket also comes with a free small popcorn and a free small soda or water at the theater. Select screenings also include photo opps and special giveaways for Prime members and their guests.

How to use Prime Premiere for free movie tickets

Read on for step-by-step instructions for how to use Prime Premiere to reserve free movie tickets.

1. Visit PrimePremiere.Amazon
2. Click “Reserve Tickets” for the Prime Premiere event of your choice and select a theater near you
3. Click on the 7 p.m. button under the theater of your choice and follow the prompts to log in with your Amazon Prime account
4. Select your number of tickets — 1 or 2 per Prime account
5. Download the ticket PDFs that appear
6. On the day of your Prime Premiere event, check in at your theater starting at 6:15 p.m. local time
7. Enjoy the Prime Premiere screening starting at 7 p.m. local time
8. Note: If you forgot to download your PDF, visit PrimePremiere.Amazon and go to the showtimes ticketing page. There, click “Already booked? Manage tickets here” and log into your Amazon Prime account. A confirmation will then pop up that lists your name, the theater where you reserved your tickets, and another download option.
