Are Dani & Adan Still Together After Love On The Spectrum? Their Surprising Reunion
If you’re shocked by the surprise appearance in season 2, you might be wondering if Dani and Adan are still together after Love On The Spectrum US.
Creator Cian O’Clery described how they made the show on Netflix to Tudum. He mentioned that he met a lot of people who had autism while he was working with Love on the Spectrum co-executive producer Karina Holden. “Not only did we get to know the people we were filming really well, but we also spoke to hundreds and hundreds of people on the spectrum about their lives and what was important to them. The story of people wanting to find love and wanting to date just kept coming up. To us, that was something that wasn’t right. There was obviously a lack of support, and it just felt like a really interesting area to shine a light on.”
He continued, “The other thing that we noticed was the diversity of the spectrum and just how different people can be. That’s the most important thing that we can do with this series, to show that huge diversity that people don’t really understand. I should note, as well, it’s really important to acknowledge that not everybody who is on the spectrum needs support in the world of dating and relationships. Everyone’s so different. But a lot of people do, and a lot of people we spoke to did and were really calling out for that.”
Dani gave love a second chance after season 1 and made a special reunion with Adan, who she matched with initially. The two met at a speed dating event and bonded over their shared love of animation. The two broke it off after she was dating Solomon, but things ended with him as well. Dani decided to reconnect with Adan and they hit it off pretty well.
Are Dani & Adan still together after Love On The Spectrum?
It’s not known whether or not Dani and Adan are still together. Dani has been posting a lot of promotions for the show on her Instagram as well as her business side. She began her own animation business, DaniMation, at just 14 years old, and wants a partner she can run her company with.
In a conversation with Netflix Tudum, her ideal type is someone who could work on the business side of things but accounts for it to be “extremely rare.” She would love to have a relationship like Jorge Gutiérrez and Sandra Equihua, who together created the animated series Maya and the Three.
As for her ideal dates, she said that she wants a partner who can be focused on what’s happening in front of them. “There would be no phones involved,” she says. “We would engage and talk about our interests and talk about how our businesses are going and what are our dreams and goals of going on a date.”
“Looks can be deceiving,” she says. “Especially if you think they’re giving you a good impression. But don’t let the looks fool you — you have to remain patient.”
In an update in May 2022, Dani explained why they weren’t together at that time. “He’s busy,” she told the publication. “He’s just right now focusing on university.”
