Once the regular season ends, 18 teams face off in the postseason MLS Cup Playoffs, which take place in late October and November. The final two teams standing complete in the league’s championship game, the MLS Cup. The LA Galaxy has the most MLS Cups (five), while the LA Galaxy and D.C. United are tied for most Supporters’ Shields (four each). Most recently, the Columbus Crew won the MLS Cup, defeating Los Angeles FC (LAFC) on December 9, 2023.

Where to watch MLS Games

MLS games are available to stream on Apple TV Plus in 100 countries. While Apple TV Plus typically offers a seven-day free trial and costs $9.99 per month after the trial ends, fans will have to pay for a special MLS subscription via Apple TV Plus. MLS Monthly costs $14.99, while MLS Annual costs $99. The MLS TV+ Add on (reduced rate for existing Apple TV+ subscribers) costs $12.99 per month, while the MLS TV+ Add on costs $79 per season.

An MLS Season Pass subscription gives fans access to every MLS game (no blackouts!), match coverage and analysis, exclusive content, and more. This includes the Leagues Cup, MLS All-Star Game, and Audi MLS Cup Playoffs games. The 2023 season, and now the 2024 season, are part of a 10-year partnership between Apple and the MLS.

Aside from MLS games, Apple TV Plus offers dozens of Apple Originals, with new content added each month. Apple Originals include award-winning comedy and drama series such as Ted Lasso, Severance, The Morning Show and Bad Sisters, as well as original movies, documentaries, and children’s content. Masters of the Air is a recent addition that stars Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Barry Keoghan, and more. Apple TV Plus additionally allows users to stream on up to five devices and download content to watch offline.
