The singer was spotted in a polka dot dress from the label, which is known for offering upscale and work-appropriate womenswear in black, white, and sometimes gray. She donned the frock, which featured spaghetti straps and a flowy skirt, for a night out in New York City on January 17 with a classic blue wool coat, sheer black peep-toe heels, and a Miu Miu handbag.
While it’s no secret that White House Black Market is a good destination for a great dress, the target audience didn’t always give young, wild, and free like Rodrigo. Nonetheless, our eyes have been opened—and it’s safe to say we’re no longer going to “sleep” (as the kids say) on the label that has been in business since 1985. In fact, seeing Rodrigo in the look has prompted us to do some digging. While Rodrigo’s frock is no longer available at the retailer (but is on eBay for $10), White House Black Market has a ton of equally chic polka dot pieces including a wrap dress and a tie-neck blouse. Additionally, the denim is impressive. They offer high-rise cargos, coated bootcut styles, flattering wide-leg designs, and a little something for those wanting to revive the skinny trend.
When it comes to Rodrigo’s wardrobe, meanwhile, the hitmaker loves to dig into the archives. She donned a vintage slip dress from Betsey Johnson at her Sour Prom afterparty, a bright pink and orange Versace gown from 2001 at the 2021 MTV VMA Awards, and a sequin mini dress from Chanel’s winter 1994 collection at a 2023 Met Gala soirée.
