It’s Lisa Manoban’s First-Ever Oscars, & She Came in a Tuxedo

Lisa is no stranger to awards shows. As a member of BLACKPINK, she’s a veteran of the red carpet. But she is new to acting. The singer made her acting debut in the most recent third season of White Lotus, which takes place on a resort in Thailand. Lisa is Thai herself, so the fit was totally natural. All that’s to say, is she’s now walking the red carpet at her first ever Oscars ceremony.

Lisa is wearing a variation on a traditional tuxedo. The a black jacket of the look and the white shirt extends all the way to the ground, giving the effect of a gown. She wears on her lapel a bright red carnation for added color. The look was designed by Mark Gong, a young designer from Shanghai who studied fashion at Parsons School of Design and began his brand in 2018.

Lisa paired the look with a half up hairstyle and blown out bangs. She had minimal jewelry and a stunning black and white ombre manicure.

Lisa is expected to take the stage and perform tonight, joining fellow singers-slash-actresses Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, plus Queen Latifah, Doja Cat, and Raye. We don’t know exactly what she’ll be performing tonight, but many suspect that she’ll be performing alongside Doja Cat and Raye, who were both featured artists in Lisa’s latest single, “Born Again.”
