Paris Jackson at Paris Fashion Week

The naked trend has an extra tight grip on Hollywood. Just days after completely see-through dresses dominated the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, the look found its way to Paris and on Paris Jackson. The star attended Stella McCartney’s fall/winter ready-to-wear show earlier this week, wearing a sheer off-the-shoulder black dress that left nothing to the imagination. Jackson went braless under the floor-length gown, which featured a mermaid-like train. She accessorized with a tiny black top handle bag and dangling earrings.

Of course, we’re not mad at Jackson’s outfit of choice. If you got it, flaunt it. It’s empowering to see women champion their own bodies amid a time that seems to be promoting the opposite. At the show, Jackson sat in the front row alongside Barbara Palvin, who wore an equally risqué ensemble. Palvin revived last year’s pantsless trend, wearing a plunging white bodysuit under an oversized white blazer.

We can expect barely-there ensembles to remain on trend for the foreseeable future. Celebrities and designers have confirmed as much, especially on the runways. Brands like Khaite, Del Core, and Naeem Khan sent models down the spring/summer 2025 catwalks in skin-baring ensembles, setting the tone for the upcoming year back in September. The fall/winter runways (which are being unveiled now) are following suit with fashion houses like Nina Ricci, Isabel Marant, and Hodakova showing not only naked dresses, but also naked shirts, pants, and skirts.

If you’re not into being completely exposed, there’s a way to had a conservative touch. For example, style a sheer dress under an oversized blazer or rock a see-through skirt under a long white dress shirt.
