Carpenter posted an Instagram yesterday wearing a lacy long sleeve mini skirt with a big rhinestone encrusted heart at the waist, paired with sheer, lacy thigh-high nylon stockings. She obviously had her big blond hair blown out to the gods, a pouty neutral lip, and her trademark big blushy cheeks. (You can accuse her of having “blush blindness,” as others on TikTok have done, but guys I think she knows she wears a lot of blush.)

But like I said, and like you know, her vibe when she’s performing is very kitschy and funny. I often joke that she went to the drag queen school of comedy with her Oopsy Daisy vibe and her double and triple entendres. She’s got merch that says Jesus was a Carpenter, she put up a big billboard in the desert before the Coachella that changed her life that said “She’s gonna make you come…to her Coachella set!” And a lot of pop stars are sexy and know it, but like Betty Boop, she’s not just sexy. She’s also funny, tiny, and having a laugh about it.
