Hailey Bieber Helps the Pantsless Trend Live to See Another Day
Hollywood has declared a war on pants. While the pantsless trend dates back to the 1950s, the aesthetic has seen a major resurgence over the last couple years—and fashion’s favorite It Girls are leading the charge. Hailey Bieber is one of them, jetting to France to show off her legs during Paris Fashion Week. The model turned beauty mogul took to Instagram on Wednesday, March 12, to share her Parisian outfits, which didn’t include any pants.
The Rhode founder, who recently gave birth to her first child—a boy named Jack Blues with husband Justin Bieber—kicked off the social media carousel with a snap that showed her posing in a convenience store. For the outing, Hailey rocked an oversized leather jacket, a black T-shirt, polka dot tights, and pointed-toe black pumps. She added on a pair of circular sunnies and filled her arms up with candy. Hailey also wore the look to the Saint Laurent show where she posed with Zoe Kravitz, who left little to the imagination in a nipple-baring silk dress. In a different snap, Hailey wore a plush animal print faux fur coat with tights, and of course, no pants. For an additional PFW outing, she shined in a textured metallic blazer, statement earrings, and nothing else. “32 hrs in the city of ❤️ and 🥐’s,” Hailey captioned the post.
Celebrities aren’t the only ones to give pants the hand, the look has nearly been exiled (I’m being dramatic here) from fashion too. The fall/winter 2025 runways of brands like Véronique Leroy, Coperni, Balenciaga, and Valentino unveiled a number of pantsless looks that saw underwear be the main character. If you think about it, the pantsless trend, is an extension of the naked trend. This year’s red carpets and runways have showed that showing skin is more in than ever, and it’s okay to not only ditch pants but bras too.
