Seeing a celebrity wear the same outfit as another celebrity always stops me in my tracks. It’s like—how did that happen? It almost humanizes them in a way, because even they aren’t exempt from a fashion faux pas. I was especially shocked to see Blake Lively succumb to this. Amid all the drama she’s already caught up in, she stepped out in an outfit Beyoncé wore last year! Gasp! How dare she?! (I’m only kidding.)

But you have to understand—this is kind of a big deal. Lively has been hailed for her distinct fashion sense for years. I don’t think this has ever happened to her before. That said, in her defense, it’s a really good look—and I’d want to wear it too.

I’m sure by now, you’re begging me to get to the point, so here it is: Lively attended a screening of her new film, Another Simple Favor—the sequel to A Simple Favor, co-starring Anna Kendrick. At the New York City event, Lively looked sunny in a butter yellow T-shirt paired with a gold satin skirt cinched with a wide belt. The look came straight from Sergio Hudson’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway, and if it feels familiar, that’s because Beyoncé wore the exact same ensemble to the Glamour Women of the Year Awards back in October 2024, where her mom, Tina Knowles, was honored.

Lively accessorized with a clutch shaped like a martini glass—a nod to her A Simple Favor character Emily Nelson’s love of cocktails—and continued the glittery theme with rainbow rhinestone pumps and dangling canary earrings. Her signature blonde mane was styled in big, bouncy curls, parted to the side. Beyoncé, meanwhile, brought a little drama to her look, pairing it with sheer ballroom gloves and an Old Hollywood-style lob.
