Wake up, babe—Zendaya just arrived at the 2025 Met Gala. The actress, who boasts an extensive and impressive Met Gala history (she made her debut at just 18!), had fans screaming and cameras clicking as she graced the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 5, in all white.

The actress gave us a masterclass in minimal drama, wearing a sleek, impeccably tailored three-piece suit. The blazer cinched in at her waist, and the pants flared out tastefully—creating a look that screamed sophistication and elegance. She topped her look off with a wide-brim hat and pointed-toe white pumps.

Zendaya nailing this year’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme and “Tailored for You” dress code—which centers the evolution of Black dandyism—is no surprise. She always commits, thanks in large part to her longtime collaborator and “image architect” Law Roach. The pair usually walk the carpet together, with Roach ensuring every last detail of Zendaya’s look gets its moment. This year, however, the duo attended the Gala separately, as Roach partnered with Burberry for the evening.

Burberry announced the collaboration on April 29, revealing in a press release: “Burberry is honored to announce its collaboration with Law Roach for the Met Gala 2025. The highly regarded image architect is working closely with Burberry as a partner and consultant on the creative expression of this year’s theme while curating the Burberry Met Gala table.” That means Roach and Burberry’s creative director, Daniel Lee, joined forces to style the brand’s guests for the evening.

Last year, Roach was by Zendaya’s side as she made her long-awaited return to the Met Gala after five years. As a co-chair, she walked the red carpet twice—first in custom Maison Margiela by John Galliano and then in archival Givenchy.

Both looks perfectly embodied the 2024 theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” and its “Garden of Time” dress code. The Margiela gown was delicately dark and otherworldly, featuring hand-painted crinoline overlaid with iridescent blue organza. The archival Givenchy dress—originally from 1996, the year Zendaya was born—featured an off-the-shoulder construction, a corset bodice, and a billowing skirt. She topped it all off with a literal bouquet: an Alexander McQueen headpiece made of blooming flowers.
