BLACKPINK’s Jennie Rocks the 2025 Met Gala Red Carpet With This Elegant Look
Leave it to Jennie to never bore us. The BLACKPINK member is flaunting her unique and daring style at the Met Gala after a monumental year.
JENNIE wore a Chanel black satin off-shoulder tuxedo with a top hat to match. The gown is also embellished with pearls and a white embroidered cloth across her chest.
The K-Pop star has been making moves as the designated Chanel ambassador of the K-pop four-piece girl group and is the ultimate trendsetter. She’s coming off the heels of her mega-hit debut solo album Ruby, and a stunning Coachella set that we have on constant replay. It’s the third time she’s making an appearance at Fashion’s Biggest Night. In 2023, she wore a white vintage Chanel dress from the Fall/Winter 1990 collection, and in 2024, she graced the red carpet in a gorgeous draped blue dress with matching shoes.

The Met Gala is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 5, 2025. This year’s theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. The dress code for the big event is “Tailored for You,” a nod to the exhibition’s focus on suiting and menswear—from specific silhouettes to various fabrics and accessories—that is purposefully designed to both provide guidance and invite creative interpretation.
Jennie’s year is only getting started as Lisa recently teased Blackpink‘s long-awaited comeback by telling Variety that all four girls were in the studio. The girl group will embark on their world tour in summer 2025.
