He’s one of the most-talked-about actors in the world right now, and Barry Keoghan’s 2024 Golden Globes look is only going to up the ante. The 31-year-old Irish actor is nominated for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama at the 81st annual Golden Globes awards in Los Angeles, CA. His star-making turn as the devious Oliver in the film Saltburn, now streaming on Netflix, has ensured everyone knows the name Barry Keoghan.
So what did Keogan choose for his inaugural award-season ensemble? The Eternals alum made a statement with a custom red red plaid Louis Vuitton suit. He chose to accessorize the matching suit with a gold and pearl trouser chain, a ruby necklace, and matching single ruby earring. His look even included a nod to one of his Saltburn character Oliver’s outfits in the form of a a vintage Tiffany & Co. brooch, which features an animal with antlers. Keoghan’s red carpet style has included bold patterns and colors, monochromatic moments, and a healthy dose of turtlenecks. At last year’s Golden Globes red carpet, the actor wore a double-breasted pastel blue Louis Vuitton blazer with flap pockets. He continued the blue trend at the 2023 Met Gala, where he showed up in a tartan tweed suit.
In 2023, he was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in The Banshees of Inisherin, alongside Colin Farrell. Currently, Keoghan is dating singer Sabrina Carpenter, a friend of Taylor Swift. We imagine the couple fitting into Swift’s friend group, alongside Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, rather nicely.
