Justin Bieber is the king of weird fashion. Even though most of his looks are met with tons of online controversy, you have to give the man props for being so bold. While the internet trolls might disagree, everything he wears is somehow effortlessly interesting and cool. He truly knows how to dress outside-the-box, and his new favorite pair of mary janes are really proving my point.
If the memes have taught us one thing, it’s that Justin loves a casual fit. After all, a stoner and his mary janes (pun intended) are a match made in heaven.
Possibly the wildest plot twist of 2024, Justin Bieber is obsessed with mary janes. He’s been spotted wearing the brown leather shoes on a few different occasions this week in New York City. And in true Justin Bieber fashion, he paired the shoes with baggy shorts, bright orange sunglasses, and a backwards baseball cap. Because nothing says “I’m Justin Bieber and I’m cooler than you,” like completely reinventing mary janes into a casual staple.
For Sandy Liang lovers and preppy Upper East Side school girls, mary janes are a must. The simple yet nostalgic silhouette has become a huge favorite on both TikTok and IRL. I’ve always viewed them as a feminine shoe, so I applaud Justin for shattering my expectations and giving them a cool masculine touch. Most of Justin’s fashion choices probably won’t catch on, but this is one I can get definitely behind. I truly believe more men should wear mary janes.
