I’m about to call into Radio Disney and request “Start All Over” because oh my god, Miley Cyrus is seriously back. I mean, she never left, of course. But Miley got a new haircut recently, and it’s giving 2008 Miley.
You know what I’m talking about. That long brown hair with the 2000s blonde highlights and the shaggy layers with bangs. She was fresh out of her relationship with Nick Jonas and releasing the most iconic and vulnerable song, “7 Things,” about him. It was the era of the never-ending peace sign and the rockstar I Love You hands. I’m feeling nostalgic!

Miley has always been the queen of the hair transformation. You can even say she got her career start in it as Hannah Montana. She’s shaved her sides down, gotten pixie cuts, grown it into a mullet, bleached her hair, dyed it every color under the sun. So this return to form of the hair she wore as a teenager may seem kind of boring, but it’s anything but!
Maybe she’s feeling nostalgic too. Earlier this year, at the Grammys where Miley accepted her first ever win, she wore her hair in a look reminiscent of another icon, her godmother Dolly Parton. Her hair was teased and rolled into the highest, loudest mane this world has ever seen.
