A lot more people need to be taking notes from the A-List For Life crowd. Cate Blanchett got to JFK International Airport on Monday wearing top tier drip and went straight to promotional events for her latest project, a movie called Borderlands. She’s actually wreaking fashion havoc on the girls because her outfits have been insane from top to bottom. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

She wore this incredible look that featured a relaxed fit blazer, a white t-shirt, and relaxed fit tuxedo pants with this insane woven black and white belt and big, bad Willy Wonka sunglasses, along with diadora black, white, and green sneakers.

She also wore an amazing two-piece set from Brandon Maxwell’s resort 2025 collection. It was a structured denim jacket that had blazer-like tailoring, a pair of matching trousers, and a huge brown belt with a major heart-shaped buckle.

And the piece de resistance and perhaps the greatest thing you’ll see today? The spoons top. Oh yes. Blanchett wore to the Borderlands premiere a Hoda Kova top that was an armor made of spoons. The 102 spoons, of course, were real spoons sourced from the countryside of Sweden by Hoda Kova, per Blanchett’s stylist Elizabeth Stewart.

Blanchett is no stranger to showing up and showing out in style. She knows that style is a quiet way to stay in the conversation. At Cannes earlier this year, the actress wore a stunning custom Jean Paul Gaultier dress that, in combination with the red carpet, showed the flag of Palestine.
