Dakota Johnson Loves the New Gucci as Much as You
Established actresses have long been known to align themselves with a particular designer—Renee Zellweger and Carolina Herrera, Jennifer Aniston and Valentino, Halle Berry and Elie Saab, Jennifer Lopez and Zuhair Murad, to name a few)—and it appears we can add Dakota Johnson to that list.
The “Fifty Shades of Grey” star—like every other fashion-minded woman on the planet right now—is a card-carrying member of the Gucci fan club, wearing Alessandro Michele’s achingly cool designs during several public appearances and sitting front row at the label’s fashion shows.
At first, we thought the actress wasn’t quite a bulls-eye ambassador for the brand—during his tenure so far, Michele’s become known for his affinity for offbeat quirk, which is kind of the opposite of Johnson’s traditional beauty—but it’s starting to make sense, especially given her ability to make the designs appear less “Runway” and more wearable.
