You’re Going to Want Every Bag From Acne’s New Line
Everyone’s favorite cool-girl fashion label—Acne, obviously—finally introduced a full bag collection. You probably already own the Stockholm-based fashion brand’s classic ankle boots, and have pined after their buttery-soft leather biker jackets winter after winter, and now you can carry a piece of the label with all day, every day. But if you’re looking for a status-y It-bag, keep walking—pumping out street style bait isn’t the brand’s intention.
“When I started looking at bags, the intention was not to do an ‘it-bag’, but to explore the world of bags and create different styles and characters,” Acne Studios’s creative director, Jonny Johansson, explained in a press release.
Five styles are currently on the brand’s website, with bold, primary colors and thick, black rope detailing uniform across most of the designs. Each shape is also available in more classic shades, such as black and tan. Unsurprisingly, owning one of these beauties won’t come cheap; the “Rope Jungle” backpack (show in yellow above) clocks in at $1,600 and the rectangular “Rope Hip” bag (pictured in blue above) will set you back a cool $1,000. Plus, every bag is 100 percent made in Italy.
Regardless of the price tag and Johansson’s intentions, you can be sure these pieces of arm candy will be spotted on every street style star when the February Fashion Week shows roll around.
