Riccardo Tisci Teamed Up with Nike Again, This Time on an Athleisure Collection

First there were the Nike Air Force 1s, then a high-fashion riff on the classic Nike Dunk, and now after two sneaker collaborations with Nike, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci has unveiled an athleisure line with the fitness brand.

Tisci shared a sneak peak of the collaboration to Instagram this morning, previewing a heavily printed collection of both men’s and women’s activewear, including basketball shorts styled over running leggings and a crop top for women.

Half of the collection will feature a frenzy of prints, like those spotted in the campaign image released today, but the other half will be designed in graphic black and white, with one sports bra reading: “Engineered to the exact specifications of Riccardo Tisci.”

Don’t assume that this will just be the kind of athleisure line you wear to run errands either, according to Vogue, the collection underwent “grueling” testing to make sure it could withstand your toughest gym workout. Tisci also told The Cut that incorporating these elements was challenging: “It’s a little bit more difficult for me, because fashion is easy, but to make something that is special is more complex. Making something that is fashionable—but that at the same time, has to have the ingredients to be a proper sport collection—was interesting. You start from fabrics because the goal is to make people feel comfortable.”
