Get ready for Rihanna to take over your local newsstand: The pop star has just been revealed as Vogue‘s April 2016 cover star, marking the second edition of the title she’s fronting in a single month.
While she’s showing off thigh-high boots from her new Manolo Blahnik collaboration on the British version, the US edition has her emerging from a lake in a slinky sequined Tom Ford gown (the same thing we like to wear for a quick dip in the lake). Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the spread also shows RiRi relaxing on a bed in Marchesa lingerie, Ralph Lauren, and Saint Laurent, and discussing music, fashion, and her many business ventures (Fenty x Puma, Samsung, and Tidal among them).
Of Anti, her new album that dropped in January, she says, “It might not be some automatic record that will be Top 40. But I felt like I earned the right to do that now.”

But perhaps the most critical quote relates to the glittering, eye-popping, totally see-through Adam Selman dress she wore sans bra to the CFDA Awards in 2014:
“I just liked it better without the lines underneath. Could you imagine the CFDA dress with a bra? I would slice my throat. I already wanted to, for wearing a thong that wasn’t bedazzled. That’s the only regret I have in my life.” Wearing a thong that wasn’t bedazzled is your greatest regret in life? “To the CFDA Awards. Yes.”
Someone get this woman a blinged-out G-string, already.
