ICYMI: The internet has gone feral for a small, plush monster figurine named Labubu that is both a bag charm and a collectible—and looks insanely cute dressed up in different outfits. Labubu is an elf-like monster, inspired by Nordic mythology and created by artist Kasing Lung for a book series called The Monsters. She’s very cute, a little creepy, and none of my friends can tell me why they are so obsessed with her (but most already own a couple of Labubu keychains, plus an entire wardrobe of outfits for these emotional support collectibles). Pssst: Now you can buy the real thing at Walmart for less, too!
Like any collectible craze, the Labubu keychains are so popular that they’re getting harder to find—and some of the rare ones are already being resold on eBay, but a few people have been able to snag them on Amazon (yes, really). When I asked one of my friends how she got her hands on one, she told me she found it IRL at Pop Mart and that “it was actually very intense.” I was lucky enough to be gifted a pink Labubu named “Lychee Berry” by a friend (who described a similar experience).
If you can’t get your hands on an authentic Labubu (or just don’t want to deal with the crowds), I found a Labubu dupe for just $20 at Walmart, and our editorial director bought herself one from SHEIN (also linked). But be warned: We haven’t actually tested the quality of these knockoffs. “As soon as mine is delivered, I will report back,” Gina Vaynshteyn says.

In addition to the Labubu dupe, you can find lots of cute Labubu clothes on Etsy. Here are a few I’m currently eyeing for my Lychee Berry Labubu.
