As a shopping editor and casual runner, I’ve tested a lot of sneakers for my job. Name a brand, I’ve likely tried it, and have tested it at my gym (where I mainly use the treadmill and free weights room), on walks with my dogs, Orangetheory classes, and more. So when I had the opportunity to try Skechers’ BOBS Sport Arc Waves (currently 30% off!), I was excited, but maybe a little non-plussed. Yet another shoe to add to the growing pile my husband resents me for—cool!

But then these surprised me when I started wearing them more and more. They’re not fancy, nor are they very trendy—but they are good. And they’re honestly way more comfortable than the brand I think they’re emulating (On sneakers).

An Honest Skechers BOBS Sports Arc Sneaker Review 2025

Design-wise, these BOBS sneakers are definitely going for that On Cloud sneaker look, but the engineering is much more plush and cushioned-focused. Plus, they’re hands-free, which is something I appreciated when I was pregnant (iykyk), but also now when I’m trying to be in ten different places at once as a first-time mom who’s always on the go.

What really stands out in this version is the Exclusive Heel Pillow, which truly feels like the heels of your feet are being hugged by clouds whenever you’re walking or running, and that is so huge for me. It’s an immediately “no thank you” whenever I’m testing a sneaker and the heel is too flimsy for me. Even though I generally wear thicker, sturdy socks while working out, I run into the issue of sneakers rubbing up on my heel and cutting my workout short. The Sports Arc Wave provides my entire foot with more padding.

And as someone with fallen arches, this is an arch-support friendly shoe, which means better all-day wear. This is key for me on days I have to walk the dogs, or run errands all day long. I don’t have time to deal with aching feet and blisters when I come home. Like most Skechers footwear, these are washable, which is amazing—I have a trail near my house that the dogs and I take, and I’ve had to retire many a white sneaker that’s not washer-compatible (*sniffle*).

I’m not the only one who likes these sneakers. “9 hours at a national wrestling tournament and my feet felt great. Love these slip-ins, so comfortable and good support. Normally new shoes take time to break in, I wasn’t sure about wearing them for that amount of time. So happy I did, they got me through that tournament pain free,” one customer writes.

While I wouldn’t reach for this shoe for runs, this is an amazing option for when you’re on your feet all day. If you need a comfortable, everyday sneaker, this is a solid choice. Get it while it’s 30% off.
