Since the moment it was announced that heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne passed away yesterday (July 22), the world has been collectively grieving. What an honor it was to experience the chaotic brilliance of Ozzy Osbourne, lead singer of Black Sabbath and pioneer of an entire music genre. More than 42,000 fans attended Black Sabbath’s final, “farewell” show (Back to the Beginning) earlier this month to see the music icon perform his last show, ever.

While Ozzy was always transparent about his health issues, it doesn’t make his passing any less devastating. The Prince of Darkness was 76 years old.
