It’s no secret that fashion editors love Nordstrom. It’s the perfect retailer to visit for all your different needs. Whether you’re looking for something more formal or casual officewear, I can guarantee it will have something perfect for you. It’s also worth mentioning that it has a range of price points. I’ve bought plenty of items under $50 at the retailer, but will also fully admit to having splurged big time on a few pairs of jeans there and even a few dresses (oops).
As we move into the fall season, I’ve found so many good items there lately that I couldn’t keep my wishlist to myself. I’ve also found that Nordstrom is such a large retailer that it’s sometimes hard to sort through everything and get to the cream of the crop. That’s why I decided to do you all a solid. I’m sharing my go to brands there and what they have to offer. If you’re looking to upgrade your fall wardrobe, keep reading. All the best brands to shop at Nordstrom are below.
Cinq à Sept is such a hidden gem at Nordstrom. Its pieces fit beautifully and are so timeless and classy. While it is on the pricier side, I consider items from this brand investment pieces because they last forever. Lately, I’ve been eying the brand’s Veena Faux Leather Skirt for fall because it’s the perfect shade of rich camel that goes nicely with the rest of my fall wardrobe. To top things off, the brand’s Clueless-esque tweed mini dress is currently 60% off and another gorgeous addition to any fall wardrobe.
Open Edit is the perfect brand for work clothes. Any time I need a good blazer, professional-looking slacks, and upscale dresses and skirts, it’s my immediate go to. It isn’t, however, just good for that. While some items from this brand boast simple silhouettes, it also has a few unique takes on classics like the Exaggerated Crop Trench Coat. This style is more of a cropped version with belted cuffs—perfect to wear as the weather cools down. The brand’s satin midi skirt is also buttery soft and comes in a variety of colors to suit any outfit.
If you struggle to find really good basics and loungewear, look no further than BP. Think hoodies, wide leg sweatpants, henley tops, and zip-ups. BP. truly has it all and there are even some cozy sweaters from the brand that are perfect for layering under a heavier coat. The best part? This brand is really affordable. Options start as low as $22 and it even has sweaters, cardigans, and jackets that don’t even top the $70 mark.
Avec Les Filles is easily one of my favorite brands. It’s a great mid-range priced brand that offers some of the cutest pieces at Nordstrom. From denim mini dresses to gorgeously cut trench coats and boxier streetwear-style jackets, everything is top tier, and, IMO, totally worth the money.
If you like more of a whimsical style or are in need of a few good party dresses, Petal & Pup is the brand for you. While it has some perfect evening dress options that work for a cocktail hour or event, it also has so many spring and summer-ready dresses that, I’ll admit, I can’t stop buying year-round. Lately, this Floral Corset Top and Satin Skirt set is calling my name. If you live in a milder climate like me, you can probably get away with wearing something like this during fall and maybe even winter.
Free People is a classic staple brand that always tops my list. It has such unique offerings that perfectly mix boho and vintage-looking styles. While I know plenty of other editors who swear by the brand’s jeans and jackets, don’t sleep on its flow-y, boho-with-an-elevated-twist dresses, like the Sundrenched Floral Tiered Maxi dress, which still works for autumn. The brand’s Deep Trance Corduroy Pants are also a cute option to wear with some boots and a pea or trench coat this season.
Honestly, Mango is a not-so-low-key obsession of mine. It’s one of the best brands around for luxury, quality staples that look designer sans the price tag. It’s such a blessing that the brand is available at Nordstrom because that means you can find a few of its items for a pretty good sale price every so often. Lately, I’ve been eying the brand’s Newrio Cotton Jacket because it goes with so many different things and its super elegant Bell Sleeve Midi Dress.
