Earlier this year, you may recall seeing a bumper crop of pineapples practically everywhere: as a pattern splashed across clothing and accessories, but also the real deal infiltrating your Instagram feed as style bloggers’ prop du jour. Ever the fickle industry, fashion has now turned its attention to watermelon, but no matter how you slice it, one thing’s for certain: fruit is having a major moment.
And while you won’t find me dressed in head-to-toe produce prints or hunting down tropical fruits for the benefit of my social feeds, I’m willing to try out the latest fads through something as innocuous as my phone case—which is why I’m all about Minnie & Emma‘s latest collaboration.

If you’re not familiar, the NYC-based correspondence company creates whimsical tech accessories and stationery that can either be monogrammed or personalized, and regularly teams up with bloggers on themed collections (past partnerships include a peony range with The College Prepster and a plaid assortment with Grace Atwood of Stripes & Sequins). Its latest joint effort is with Julia Dzafic, the Connecticut-based lifestyle blogger behind Lemon Stripes, who chose a trifecta of summer fruits as her main motif.
You’ll find pineapples and watermelons, yes, but also under-appreciated lemons cheerfully decorating phone ($59) and iPad cases ($59), note cards (20 for $68), square note pads ($64) and hard-bound journals ($48)—a new product for Minnie & Emma. Budget-friendly these items are not, but since I’m too old to go back-to-school shopping, I reason these desk supplies are way cheaper than my Staples sprees of yore. They’re also a hell of a lot cuter than any Mead Five Star notebook I’ve come across.
