It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane, It’s Cardi B At The Schiaparelli Couture Show

As she glided up the steps, Cardi B dropped the bolero down her shoulders and revealed a form-fitting strapless black velvet gown with a corsetted waist and floor-length hemline.

The dress had gold embroidered trim around the bust which tied in Cardi B’s accessories. Cardi B wore Schiaparelli’s famous gold ear-shaped earrings and sported one of 2023’s biggest jewelry trends with stacks of gold bangles up both of her arms. She coordinated her gold platform heels with her jewelry.

The artist wore her dark hair in a low bun and covered most of her head with a black cap fitted to her skull. She kept her makeup glamorous but simple with thick black false lashes, winged eyeliner, and a neutral lip.

Cardi B isn’t the only celebrity to turn heads at a Schiaparelli Haute couture show. At last season’s show in January, Doja Cat and Kylie Jenner unofficially rivaled each other for best dressed at the event.

You probably remember seeing Kylie Jenner’s custom Schiaparelli runway creation all over your TikTok FYP. The reality star wore a black strapless velvet dress (similar to Cardi B’s) with an incredibly realistic-looking stuffed lion head perched on her shoulder. Schiaparelli’s January collection featured multiple lifelike animal busts attached to formal dresses that were worn on the runway by models like Naomi Campbell and Irina Shayk.

Meanwhile, Doja Cat attended the same show covered head-to-toe in 30,000 red Swarovski crystals that perfectly matched her red beaded strapless dress. Like Cardi B, Doja Cat also wore Schiaparelli’s signature ear-shaped earrings, but in a fiery shade of red. Doja Cat has yet to make an appearance at Couture Week this season, but if she does, it’s sure to be spectacular.
