Elle Fanning has always had the heart of the fashion community. She is, of course, stunning and gorgeous and has the beauty that would have launched a thousand ships if we lived in a different era. And if she didn’t have the vision, maybe beauty alone would have been enough for her. But instead, she has chosen the path of glamour. Elle Fanning’s red carpet style is sculptural and avant garde, while also honoring that classic Hollywood look.

Fanning has been in the industry since she was very young, attending red carpets from as early as 2015. She’s one of the stars of A Complete Unknown, the Bob Dylan bipoic starring Timothee Chalamet, so we’ve seen Fanning really killing it with the public appearances. She’s going babydoll one day, and dad who goes work the next. She has been putting her fashion in the hands of trusted stylist Samantha McMillen for years now. McMillen also styles iconic child actress and Elle’s older sister, Dakota Fanning, so you know that relationship is not just a working one, but a family affair. McMillen has worked with major stars like Brie Larson, Ana de Armas, Kirsten Dunst, Charles Melton, and more.

Elle Fanning works with the best, and she’s also a beauty, so it makes total sense that designers are eager to dress her. She’s multiple times been dressed by Gucci, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, and Armani Privé, but she’s also worn,  Saint Laurent, Balmain, and once even wore to the Emmy’s a custom gown designed by the costume designer from The Great, which Fanning starred in with actor Nicholas Hoult.
