Get The Look: Rashida Jones’ Transition-To-Fall Makeup
Summer may be winding down, but that doesn’t mean we’re stepping away from our favorite bright hues just yet. Instead, we’re following Parks And Recreations actress Rashida Jones as she showed off the perfect transition-into-fall makeup look at the Celeste and Jesse Forever premiere last week in New York City. Here’s how to capture the best of both seasons:
Face And Cheeks
Celebrity Makeup Artist Jamie Greenberg went with a naturally flushed and glowing complexion. “I started by buffing Mark Min-A-Real Cream-to-Powder Foundation in Medium Dark ($18, Shop.meetmark.com) onto Rashida’s face,” said Greenberg.
To get that hint of peach on the cheeks, she applied a peach blush. Our favorite this summer is MAC Solar Ray Mineralize Blush ($23.50, Macys.com). To reduce shine, she applied Mark Matte-Nificent Oil-Absorbing Powder in Medium Dark ($14, Shop.meetmark.com) . To add the shimmer like Jones, go with a bronzer, like Sonia Kashuk Illuminating Bronzer in Goddess($12.99, Target.com).
How To Apply Individual False Eyelashes
Eyes
While Rashida’s cheeks were super summery, her eyes went into Fall territory with a dark smokey eye. She applied a light brown and dark brown eyeshadow onto Rashida’s lid, and finished with a lighter shimmer hue in the crease. To create a subtle cat-eye, she applied Mark What A Line Felt Tip Eyeliner in Wee Hours ($10, Shop.meetmark.com) and then Brownie Points only on her upper lash line. To get those high volume lashes, finish with a mascara, like Givenchy in Noir Couture ($32, Sephora.com), concentrating on the upper outside lashes.
Lips
Returning to a summer staple, Greenberg finished the look with mark Lipclick Full Color Lipstick in Coral Fixation ($11, Shop.meetmark.com).
