How to Get Perfect Curls in Two Minutes Flat
We cannot tell a lie: there’s nothing we love more than a head full of curls and waves. But curling an entire head of hair the traditional way—separating each layer into 1″ sections, curling, setting, brushing out, then repeating another ninety times—is exhausting, not to mention time-consuming.
So what if we told you that you can get dreamy, romantic waves in two minutes flat, and all you need is a hair elastic and a curling iron? Yep, it’s possible. Follow this tutorial and learn how to get perfect curls quickly and easily.
Step 1: Pull your hair up into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic. If your hair isn’t quite long enough to all make it into a pony, pull back what you can and leave the rest hang—you can either curl these shorter under-sections separately now, or leave them to be covered by the longer, curlier lengths.
Step two: Split your ponytail in half so that you can hold a section in each hand. If you have hair that’s very long or very thick, you may need to split your hair into quarters, rather than halves.
Step three: Wrap the first section of hair around your chosen curling iron, going away from your face. Remember that the larger the barrel, the looser your wave will be. Keep it there for around 10-15 seconds, then release. Repeat.
Step four: You’ll now have a ponytail with two (or four) very springy curls. Hit them with some hairspray and let them cool.
Step five: Remove your hair elastic and comb through your curls with your fingers. Your lengths will be perfectly curly with great, natural looking volume at your roots…and all in two minutes. Consider this a weekend miracle.
