Were you looking for something to make your Tuesday a little brighter? Well, here it is: J.Crew’s launching a new “Shiny Ponies” footwear campaign, and with it the chance to snag a year’s worth of the brand’s shoes—for free.

The new line itself has just landed online and includes suede heels, sparkly and metallic flats, leather booties, lust-worthy loafers and all-new prints like hologram and iridescent foil. The name “Shiny Ponies” refers to the description creative director Jenna Lyons and the design team gives to footwear collections they’re satisfied with. On the other hand, “the shoes come in and we call them ugly dollies when they don’t work out,” she explained in a video for J.Crew in 2013

If anyone has nailed the art of pitch-perfect shoes, it is J.Crew—Lyons has even admitted to owning 289 pairs and once said that she considers leopard footwear to be a neutral. Now, the brand’s celebrating the launch of its new “Shiny Ponies” collection of mood-lifting, straight-up pretty pairs of shoes with an Instagram contest.

To enter, simply upload a picture of your own “shiny ponies” (they don’t have to be J.Crew shoes—any label is fine), and use the hashtags #shinyponies and #jcrewcontest. Five winners will be judged by Lyons and announced shortly after the competition closes on October 17th.

So, what kind of shoes will J.Crew be looking for when deciding which five contestants win 12 months of free footwear? Think sparkle: “There’s a sense of sparkle in a shoe—and I don’t mean ‘sparkle’ like sequins, I mean ‘sparkle’ like that little bit of magic that changes everything,” explains Lyons.
