We’re Kind of Obsessed With Kim K.’s New Shoot: No Makeup, PJs, and the Beverly Hills Hotel
If there’s one thing we know about Kim Kardashian, it’s that she never ceases to look perfectly polished, sometimes to a ridiculous degree (seriously—who schleps through LAX in six-inch heels, leather pants, and a bra top?) which is why every time we see photos of the 34-year-old without the airbrushed makeup and the designer outfits, we can’t help but wonder why Kanye she doesn’t let herself be seen that way more often.
Late last week, we learned Kim appeared on the cover of Vogue Spain with no makeup. Very pretty, yes, but not exactly huge news—often when stars cover magazines au natural it’s a calculated headline-grabbing move.
However, Kim posted shots to Instagram Tuesday from inside the magazine that show her equally glammed-down, which—strangely—made her look more glamorous, and way more modern.
In our favorite snaps, Kim poses in baggy blue pajamas and sneakers at the Beverly Hills Hotel, with not a stitch of makeup, and undone hair. Perfection.
Kudos to Vogue Spain for setting the shoot at the iconic hotel—the epitome of Los Angeles, and the scene of countless glamorous celebrity images since 1914—and the choice to put her in PJs. Sure, the deconstructed Eloise theme might be a little heavy-handed, but we think it works—and Kim looks fabulous.
Now, if only she’d go out in public like this more—just think how much cooler her affinity for things like latex and skin-tight pencil skirts would look without the 24/7 glam squad?
